It was an absolutely lovely room, in a quiet neighbourhood in Venice close to the Rialto Bridge. The staff are wonderful. The building itself is gorgeous. There's a number of restaurants nearby but you are also ideally situated to get off the beaten track.

Tucked away but not far from Rialto, this is a lovely little hotel with very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. We stayed two nights and would definitely come again. Once you have found it then you will be delighted I am sure.

As it says on the tin a charming little inn, hotel in a nice situation just struggled to find front door at start. Welcoming staff pleasant rooms and a great place to explore from within easy reach of the Rialto Bridge.

We booked the Ca' Bragadin Carabba via Expedia as the reviews seemed good and the price reasonable. We booked a room with a double bed. The room turned out to be comfortable with an ensuite shower room. The weather was cold, February, but the room pleasantly warm. The only quibble would be that it would have been nice to have...

My friend and I spent about 2 days in Venice. We loved the central location of Ca' Bragadin Carabba. The video with directions to get to the hotel was AWESOME (the best idea anyone's had in Venice). It's so easy to get lost in Venice. While in the center of the city, the hotel was a little off the beaten...

overall is average, not easy to find the location and difficult to take the luggage through the stairs to the room. Didn't know the min bar need to pay , the staff told us there is water in the fridge when we asked and that is not cheap! So, be careful everybody and don't feel surprise when see many snacks in...

Dear Guest I thank you for the comment left on tripadvisor, I just want to specify that at the time of check-in we informed you that the minibar is not free of charge and on the information sheet is very clear that the minibar is not free of charge; in our rooms on the desk there is a menu with...

Beautiful room at excellent value. Stone floors, smart drapes, shutters; nice urban view. Umberto at the front desk could not have been more helpful and spoke English, which took out some of the potential stress. You haven't been to Venice if you don't get lost, and this hotel is tucked away - but they do all they can to help...

I read these reviews before and after I booked so I know how important accurate information is. For context we are from the US (South Carolina) and in Venice celebrating my wife's 50th birthday. The inn was not harder to find than anything else in Venice. Like that someone lets you in 24 hours a day after ringing bell..felt secure....

The Ca' Bragadin was recommended to us and we were so glad we acted on it. Yes, it is a little difficult to find first time but not terribly so. I made one wrong turning but was quickly back on track once I realised my mistake. The main thing is it is wonderfully situated, 5 minutes to Rialto, 10 minutes...

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
