Ca Bragadin is a quaint, historic small hotel 5 min walk from Rialto Bridge and walking distance to all Venice sights or can access by water ferry. Large room. Ours was on 2nd floor...NB No lift, but we got our luggage up OK. Good bed, clean bathroom, had nice simple continental breakfast one morning which was brought to room. Hard...

Our stay at Ca' Bragadin Carabba was fantastic! The room was lovely, very spacious and very clean. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, especially the main gentleman on reception. Would recommend and definitely stay again!

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Room was very clean and staff all very friendly. Good location to visit all the sites. Only issue we had was finding the hotel almost evert time we went out. And also tea and coffee making facilities would be great in the room as I missed this.

For the price and value, we could not have chosen better. This small hotel was in a great situation, but very quiet and away from the hubbub. The manager was charming and helpful. We would return without doubt.

In the crazy busy , mixed up tiwn of Venice, the hotel gave us amazing directions to get there. The front desk staff were excellent, and gave us tips and advice that made our stay so much more than expected. The room itself was comfortable and clean. We had a great stay.

Great little hotel. Bit difficult to find at first but once found it's an excellent base location really close to Rialto bridge and short walk to Start Marc's Square! Nice room, ours was on the 4th floor meaning lots of steps though there was a lift i believe we didn't use it! Room was really clean and made up every...

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
