Brilliant location for this hotel.right in the location you want to be in. Rooms are spacious and also clean if a little dated. The staff however were not really nice. They didn't have much interest in us or were not overly friendly. It's an ok hotel but that's about it. If it's location you're after go for it.

Stayed 3 nights (2 adults, 1 child)at the end of our Italy trip. This was, by far, the best property we stayed at. The Balcony Suite was beautiful. Comfortable beds, good bathroom and 2 balconies overlooking the lovely square. Breskfast in the room was very generous. With just 10 guestrooms in total, Ca' Bragadin Carabba has a very exclusive yet... More

Everything from the beautiful, elegant and very clean room, to the great location and friendly Umberto was wonderful. If you want to have a real Venetian experience you can't choose better than Ca'Bragadin Carabba.

This property is nice enough, but certainly not worth a big accolade. Positives were good wifi and good central location to most things. Like all Venice (and Italy in general) locations, it will take a lot of finding, the big tip here is download an app to your smartphone like SYGIC (free), put in the all the desinations as favourites... This hotel is a bit hard to find buts what isn't in Venice. They send you a very detailed map on booking. Three minutes to Rialto and five minutes to San Marco but in a quiet part of town that seems less touristed. Very nice front desk staff that are very helpful.

Cheerful helpful staff. Comfortable, safe, beautiful and very well located. Good recommendations for local restaurants and good advice when we inquired about concerts. The location suited the walk every where style being near the station and other attractions

We spent 3 days in late June at this delightful surprise of a hotel. Located a short walk from Rialto ferry port, the room and bed was very comfortable, and the staff helpful with restaurant and transport suggestions. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for 3 nights and we were very pleased with the hotel. FANTASTIC location - we walked everywhere. The rooms were clean and well presented, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy enough to get to on the No. 2 ferry to Rialto. Note that we didn't get the breakfast or use the courtyard so can't comment on... More

Really enjoyed staying at this wonderful place. Very intimate and friendly. Rooms were spacious and staff attentive. Location was great, few minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge. Breakfast was more than plentiful, hot and cold options.

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
