The Hotel Ca Zusto Venice is an ancient patrician palace of the fourteenth century in a noble and sophisticated style just a few steps from the Grand Canal. Thanks to the skilful conservative renovation, the building has been restored to its former glory, when Venice was a crossroads between East and West. The result is a boutique hotel, unique and innovative from all points of view: from the comfort of which it disposes to the design of the interiors which reaches its highest expression in the only 22 rooms of the hotel. Each one of them is exclusive and unique. High tech equipments integrate themselves within ancient and aristocratic spaces, creating strong contrasts, the true expressive sign of the whole building. Curtains and brocades, precious bedspreads and the ceilings with ancient beams stand out of different tones of color. Everyone clearly feels the inspiration from Byzantine atmospheres. The service is 4 stars, with great attention to each detail and thought to satisfy every desire, in the name of the Italian hospitality. The Hotel Ca Zusto Venice is a little jewel to be lived and discovered in the historic heart of Vernice. From the "Basilica della Salute" on the Grand Canal to the small canals all around the "Teatro La Fenice" or between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, a traditional gondola tour is ideal to appreciate some of the most beautiful settings of Venice.

Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.

This was a lovely find. Spent ages searching for a hotel and this one came up time and again with great reviews. Its further enough out from the main hub of things but close enough in to not be left out. Easy to find from the bus terminal or train. Nice clean rooms, great hotel

We stayed here for three nights and arrived a while before check in time. The lady at reception was very accommodating and, despite our room not being available, she found an alternative room which we could stay in instead (room 208 I think). The room was quite nice, I think it

We stayed for a night at this hotel. This building is an ancient patrician palace built in the 14th Century. It was renovated into the boutique hotel that it is now. We got a free upgrade (Yay!). The room was very colorful and spacious. Each room had a name assigned to it. I

I was in Venice for two nights visiting a friend. The hotel room was cute and compact and consisted of everything I need. My room was facing the front of the hotel and the view was nice enough. They also serve a decent breakfast as well. The hotel was in a great location and

The water bus runs regularly back and forth. We booked a semi private boat through our package deal. I learned once I got there we could have taken the bus for a fraction of the price.

We are looking for a hotel near cruise port. How far is it from cruise
We stayed in this hotel (Hotel Ca' Zusto) in September before going on a cruise. As we had big and heavy luggage with us. The hotel arranged a porter to deliver our luggage from the hotel to the people mover where we took the train directly to the cruise port. The porter charged 5 euro per luggage. He put all our luggage on a trolley and he moved them all the way to people mover from the hotel, my husband and I followed behind him. It was about 20 minutes walk to the people mover. Luckily, we didn't need to move the luggage ourselves considering there are bridges to cross over which is a nightmare in Venice if you have to move big and heavy luggage over the bridge.
