This place is a gem on the foothills of the Italian Alps. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The beds are comfortable as opposed to the ones in all the hotels we stayed in Venice. The breakfast buffet is outstanding while the food and wine at the restaurant are delightful too. And to top it all, the staff is wonderful beyond imagination. They are accommodating, kind and super helpful. P.S. they’ll even set you up with a nice hybrid bicycle if you’d like to try the breathtaking views of the vicinity on wheels!

This is my third time staying in Colle Umberto. While the town is not a thriving metropolis the hotel is always a welcome respite. The main attraction for this hotel for me is its location to an important client and its outstanding value. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are very clean and well lit. Wifi is plentiful and they have added an outside dining area to the front of the hotel which is superb add on to a decent restaurant. The family can not be nicer or more helpful during your stay.

I have now stayed here 3 times with business trips in Veneto and Fruili Venezia - at €52 per night and a 3 course meal including 2 large glasses of prosecco for €25 per head I believe this represents good value for money in upmarket Veneto. Also when I stayed the last time I believe most of the 27 rooms were booked up with a real mixture of cars in the car park - Croatia, Switzerland, Austria and Italy, Very scenic views from the hotel which is at the top of a hill in the small village of Colle Umberto just a few miles outside Conegliano (home of Prosecco) and conveniently on the main Venice to Trieste train line.
