This place has superior sleeping and bathroom facilities compared to other places I stayed at on the TMB - it actually seemed spacious enough to be able to accommodate everyone even when full. The As with other rifugios (in Italy only) the showers require a token; at Bonatti the amount of water is measured rather than the time so you... More

We stopped here on the TMB tour for a picnic/lunch stop. The hot chocolate is a MUST!! The rifugio was clean and tidy with friendly staff. There are plenty of places to sit both inside and outside. Good views too

Great place. Well designed for trekkers and very clean though can be crowded. We stayed in a 3 bunk +1 bed dormitory which was cleverly designed- each bunk having its own clothes/rucksacks etc area. Some rooms had 12+ beds in a long row. Toilets/showers unisex. Shower coin operated- you get coin (free) from desk then switch on shower by pulling... More

good sized rooms..amazing location with really good views..good dining area and very good service..the a la carte food at lunch was really good..the common dinner was a let down..the breakfast is a joke..towels are rented and the information is not displayed..very few showers..a queue ..and a very limited amount of hot water controlled with a token..ridiculous..

The rfuge is located in an amazing location facing the Mont Blanc and is a must stop in your TMB. We stayed in a private room without WC/shower. Room was large and simple with separated beds and WC is the end of the corridor. You get a token for hot water in the shower. Shower tips - prepare everything in... More

What a fantastic Rifugiio to see a spectacular view. We arrived in clouds but departed the next morning in blue skies. There were 85 people so it was quite full but it was managed well by the staff. It was quite a fun, loud and raucous time during dinner. We had a family room for 4 and a shared toilet... More

This place is other worldly for rifugios on the TMB. Absolutely spotless. The meals were high-quality. The location is amazing. This is a must-stay if you're hiking the TMB. If you're planning a TMB trek, you must stay/stop here.

Named after Italy's arguably best known mountaineer (sorry Reinhold) this "overnight machine" sleeps and feeds about 130 hikers every night and does it very well. Well structured and organized Service by the family who runs it. Thanx again Marco for finding us a room in the last minute.

This refuge was such a great place to stay after a day on the TMB. You can not check in until 2:30 and it is a short trek from Courmayer, so don't arrive too early because you will just have to wait for all the locals to finish eating lunch up there before you can get into the dorms. The... More

This was my first experience of an alpine mountain refuge. I couldn't have been more delighted. The setting with the views of the mountains is tranquil. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and treated as if we were part of their one big family. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was explained clearly and we were shown to... More
