My family of four stayed here when we visited the Alpe di Suisi and Otzi. It was wonderful and I wish we could have stayed here longer. The service was top notch. The kindness shown by the staff was very much appreciated after our last hotel. We had a two bedroom room. Very comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast was... More

The friendly welcome we received predisposed us to enjoy our stay here - all the staff were helpful and eager to help. Our room faced onto the old town square and was a little noisy in the morning but this was no inconvenience as we wanted to be up and doing. The room was large, airy and clean. The hotel... More

The entire staff were so pleasant, fun and helpful during our three-day stay. Our room was perfectly clean with a balcony that looked out to the mountains. Stunning! Breakfast was a treat each morning with two wonderful ladies that kept the room lively! Susanne was a very gracious host and welcomed us back each evening after long, beautiful hikes. And... More

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in early July. The hotel is lovely -- clean and comfortable, with a bigger bathroom than we expected. The history of the hotel is very interesting -- it was established as an inn back in the 1200s (I believe) and the decor preserves many charming aspects of the original inn. The location... More

The Cavallino d'Oro is in the center of Castelrotto, right on the town square. Great location, convenient to everything in town. We were there during a local festival, so there was lots of activity on the square, which was fun. The hotel is very nicely decorated, and our room was both pretty and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful. They... More

We learned about this hotel in the Rick Steves guidebook, and everything was as promised. I can't say enough nice things about the staff and owners; they were all so very helpful from the moment we pulled up to the door, through multiple breakfasts, and when we came back after checking out because a closed road required a change in... We stayed in a room on the first floor with a view of the town's square, its tower and church. The check-in went smooth, the receptionist was warm and welcoming. We could park our car in the garage. Our room was completely decked out in wood, the bed was so very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious enough. We enjoyed... More

This hotel had phenomenal service. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, which fit with the quaint town. We appreciated the steam room and sauna in the evening. The food was excellent. The bathroom was great with a deep bath tub.

Lovely old world charm in an elegant hotel. The Tyrolean atmosphere is magnificent. The rooms are very beautiful, tranquil, and unique. The hotel oozes with excellent attentive staff on a lovely medieval square. It is hard to find such charming accommodations, well-located, and just plain fun! The elegant sitting area with bar faces the square and cobbled-stone side street. My... More
