The hotel is not a resort and it is clean. The personal were not super friendly but also not very unfriendly. Breakfast was a little weird because there was noone there to clean the tables on time. The bathroom was super cute and small. The windows do not help to keep the noise outside. There where no vegan options for breakfast if you are looking for this.

We decided to go to Turin to a concert that actually was better than we expected. So, we only wished to find an economical hotel close to historic center. So,this is it Hotel Alpi Resort. It is off the main square by Po-river, all restaurants and major venues near by. The room was clean, I did not like the carpets, but for one night they were ok. Bathroom was clean but small. Bonus: a balcony overlooking to the hills across river Po. Breakfast was ok, a couple of fresh fruits, meat cuts, cheeses, fresh croisants, yogurts, etc. nothing spectacular but ok. Service was very friendly at the reception and at the breakfast room. The hotel is on the third and fouth floor of an old town house. The lift is very old with the double doors you have to push open. I liked to walk up and down.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. The lady in reception is extremely rude. Ask her something and if she feels disturbed, she will start shouting in Italian. Clearly there are low standars on how to treat guest in this place. People will still go to this hotel who exploits its good location but to at the cost of abusive behaviour. I then moved to a private room in a hostel and the experience was way better and even cheaper. For people that don’t mind the above, the hotel as I said is well located close to the attractions and although the facilities look dated, they are functional. Big downside is the noise isolation, which is poor and it doesn’t help having common spaces where people talk loud just outside you room.

I stayed one night to break my train journey from Rome towards Manchester. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from Porta Nuova station and about 30 minutes to Porta Susa along some of Turin's famous arcades. It's in a decent part of the city and there are various bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. I felt comfortable walking through the city streets. Hotel reception is on the 3rd floor, and the breakfast room is on the 4th. The 20 or so rooms are split between the two. The hotel lift is old but appeared reliable and was easy to use. The person on Reception gave me a warm welcome. My room was comfortable and the thin duvet was just right. Indeed the linen seemed luxurious. Breakfast was pretty good and varied, but unfortunately I arrived at a busy time so it was a while before I could ask the barista for a coffee which turned out to be very good.
