The hotel lies direct on lakeshore in the heart of San Giulio, which by the way is almost traffic free. We had a room with lake view, however a bit disturbed by the terrasse on the same level, which is open to all hotel guests (1st floor). Positiv: Room renovated, good isolation to the outside, nice hotel interior, central location.... More

A wonderful location for this hotel. We only stayed one night and at the restaurant where the food was pretty good but I have to agree with a previous reviewer about the customer service and lack of friendliness. It's easy to walk to the main sights and right by the ferry to the island.

It would be easy to have a fairly good time at this hotel. Nice location and good restaurant. But we cannot recommend it because of an anti-customer attitude. Two examples: you cannot sit at the nice tables for breakfast as these have already been laid for lunch. If you ask for a second cup of coffee at breakfast you're told... More

We recently got married in Orta San Giulio and chose this hotel for our accommodation and the majority of our guests. The hotel is beautifully situated on the lake overlooking the island and is traditionally decorated. We stayed in the deluxe suite which was outstanding with a jacuzzi bath for two and a large balcony. The hotel staff made our... More

My partner & I recently stayed at this hotel for a long weekend and cannot recommend it enough. The hotel is stunning and traditionally decorated and the staff were warm & welcoming, especially the young receptionist, who was very friendly and gave us lots of maps, recommendations, etc. Our room had a view of the local Piazza, which was great... I had sent here my relatives as I celebrated a birthday in Orta. Never again! Only the position and views justify its existence ... Most of the Rooms are old fashioned and, even if taste is subjective, horribly decorated, and pretty small. But the worst is the service, unfriendly and bitter staff; owners don't know how to smile or pamper... More

Can not recommend this place highly enough if your looking at a wedding in orta. They were the easiest people to deal with and managed the booking really well. The place itself is stunning and right on the lake. Some rooms are a bit pokey for what your paying and the beds are a bit hard for some but overall... More

The best place to stay in Orta, right on the lake and facing the water. We turned up without booking in August and were offered a room facing the lake and the island on the first floor, with a door leading onto the shared terrace area and stairs leading directly to the lake for an early morning swim. The room... More

Overpriced suite room, cheap attitude you have to pay for Internet 1€ a day when you pay 260€ for the room. Horrific service you ask cappuccino without foam and of course there is the foam. The suite have no fridge, pretentious Venetian style you need to be a engineer to make the shower work. The owners have no idea what... More

We were given a frosty but efficient welcome in this prime location hotel on Orta lake. Our superior room had no lake view and was small but we didn't feel like arguing about it. The following morning we were amongst the first down to breakfast where we were met by two elderly scowling ladies They had set tables as far... More
