The location of this hotel is fantastic. As said in numerous other reviews it is perfectly located close to every thing. 2 minute walk from the Metro & castle. 5-10 mins from the D'uomo. 5-10 mins from Cadorna train station which has an express train to Malpensa Airport. As for the hotel itself it's decent. The staff were great and... More

With little effort, we parked our car 2 blocks away in the nearby parking garage (pricey, but hey, it's Milan). We walked and in seconds were on the main pedestrian street. Walking distance to Duomo, restaurants, shops, etc. Rooms were decent size. The reception area is quite small, but the help was very warm and welcoming. Breakfast buffet included was... More

We stayed two days at this hotel and found it convenient for a short stay in Milan. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We were able to walk easily to the the centre of the city from the location, and cafes and a small supermarket were reasonably close by. Our room was very clean with nice linen and the... More

If you're considering this hotel you'll be definitely pleased with its location that is walking distance from Duomo. There's plenty to see and eat along the way. It's also close to the metro and quaint shops can be found around the area. Their rooms are pretty standard and updated. Wifi is just so-so. The lobby is a bit small and... More

Excellent location, just at The beginning of Dante, 5 minutes to Duomo. It is on Cailori metro station and one station to Cadorna central station, so it is really easy to travel i.e. to airport, Como Lake. Free WiFi is available. Have good breakfast. The only negative thing; no refrigerator in The room.

The location, on a quiet street just next to Via Dante, was perfect for exploring the city with all major attractions within walking distance. The rooms are, however, very basic and the bathroom could use a freshening up since there was mould in the shower. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was okay (for being Italian) and overall the stay... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Genius Downtown. It was very clean and very near the Duomo. The breakfast wasn't that great but it was decent enough. I really think it's worth staying here. Staff are really friendly and helpful too. Plus there is free wifi that is pretty good.

Maybe not the largest Hotel in Milan but it is very accommodating and the location is perfect. It's one block from Via Dante which goes right to the Duomo and no traffic is allowed on it. Via Danta is loaded with shops and Restaurants. You can walk two blocks to the subway system as well as the local travel agency... More

I use this hotel on short trips for the good location. Clean, the staff is friendly, rooms are not very big, but enough for 1-2 nights when you need to be in the area. Walking distance from Dumo, shops and restaurants.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
