I stayed here with my family from 7/29-8/2. We had two rooms (one was a suite and the other a junior suite). I have been to Milano numerous times and always stayed at the Armani hotel down the street, but this time we wanted to be experimental and try something new (HUGE MISTAKE). Firstly, I want to discuss hygiene and sanitation. I walked into my room only to find a bunch of ants all over the floor (rug area specifically) - it was not even coming from the side of the windows (so the blame cannot be put on the windows/balcony area). There were ants even in the bathroom area. Once I comtacted the front desk and requested to be moved to a different room, they kept putting me on hold and disconnecting the line - when I would try to call back, no one would answer. When someone finally answered the call after 10 tries (I’m not joking - 10 tries), they ignored my request to be moved to a different room and said they’d send someone to “spray” the room - if I’m paying a $1,000+ per night to stay somewhere, they better not expect me to stay in a chemical/spray laden room. I refused that offer, and said that they’d better move me to a different room. At first, they LIED to my face and said that they were “fully committed for the night” - when they saw that I was very frustrated, that’s when they twisted their story and said that there was another room available on the same floor. So that was that - and not a single staff member apologized or cared. They were extremely nonchalant and unbothered. It’s as if you owe them something. Second, this again ties to hygiene and cleanliness - tell me at which 5 star hotel (especially the Mandarin Oriental) do they change bed sheets every 3 days?! You must put in a special request to have your bed sheets changed or they will wait for 3 days to do so. That is definitely not 5-star standards. Mind you, when they would clean the room, they wouldn’t pick up and replace my used coffee cups with new ones. Thirdly, the overall service at the hotel is sub-par. You will wait 30 minutes or more perhaps, for a glass of water or for whatever else you ask for at the Mandarin Garden (one of the two restaurants at the hotel). The staff working there are extremely rude and unwelcoming. Either they forget your order, or they just don’t care about providing 5 star customer service to their guests. I think it’s the latter. Forth, the hotel tries to bribe you with free “gifts” to keep you from saying the truth about their terrible service - it’s no wonder they have so many 5 star reviews. I don’t need any free gifts - a hotel like the Mandarin Oriental should be more focused on providing exceptional service rather than free gifts to compensate for their shortcomings. I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Madrid just before this one, and that hotel had exceptional service - unlike this one. Please, please avoid this property. There are so many nicer 5 star hotels in Milano that will provide you with exceptional service at the same cost. I highly recommend the Armani Hotel (right down the street) - their rooms are cleaner, their staff is much more warm and welcoming, and their service is exceptional - and overall even more luxurious - all at the same cost.

the hotel is in a prime location, very close to the Duomo and all the main sites. Gorgeous building on a quite street right off one of the main streets. As expected from the chain the service is impeccable. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous - we stayed in a Mandarin room and it was perfect. The rooms are super clean and spacious as are the bathrooms. The breakfast was perfect. The staff is super professional and friendly. Hope to stay there again soon

Amazing hotel amazing service. Very expensive but you get what you pay for. Great pool. Stayed for a long time just after Covid and for me a home away from home. Staff were attentive and the courtryatd restaurant is an oasis. Would recommend to anyone who can afford it.

This was truly a treat though a short one as we only were in Milan for one night. Nice location right by the Duomo. Beautiful Bar and restaurant. There was minor glitch about the status of our upgrade but Stefano was quick to make it all right.

Sensational hotel in Milan within strolling distance of Duomo and Galleria. Fantastic staff at MO from the moment you walk though the door to be treated at reception. The staff rooms and amenities will keep you smiling . Excellent attention to detail especially Matteo the house manager . Don’t look further , I don’t think you will find better I can’t say the same for the sister hotel up the road in lake Como. It seems milano has all the best features and staff. At lake Como they only have the view. These hotels are very expensive but Milan OM provides value

We stayed for 2 nights in a Mandarin Room, the hotel is very centrally located but feels calm and relaxed inside. It was very hot so we decided to spend the first day in the spa, we had excellent massages and I felt so much better. I love the beds in MO hotels, they are the best for a great nights sleep and the rooms are dark and quiet. We had a lot of cocktails and an excellent meal in Seta, there are a lot of suprise courses, it left us very full and happy.

Been to multiple Mandarin Oriental and this one was excellent. The staffs were friendly, we stayed for 6 days and practically all of them recognized us. The concierge were very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Would definitely stay there again on our next visit.

I really wish they did a 10* Review as hands down this place deserves it. We checked into the Milan Mandrain on Easter Sunday we where early on arrival. Checkin was smooth bags taken care of. We where quickly checked in and our room wasn’t quite ready so we where shown to the outside terrace for a drink while we waited. Around 40 mins later the room was ready i went to pay the bill and was told that was on the hotel as our room wasn’t ready on arrival. This was an excellent touch they made it out like it was their fault when I wasn’t due for a 3pm checkin. This is what I call service exceptional. We then arrived on the 5th floor to our beautiful room with a balcony over looking the city. Room was impeccably clean and stunning layout for a Deluxe King it was larger than it looked online. Finely modern furnishings with practical spaces and good use of it. Housekeeping was spot on couldn’t ask for better folded clothes and left the place spotless. We ate in the hotel for lunch and for dinner and the food was beautifully presented and tasted like it looked. Honestly the staff in this hotel just made the whole experience luxury and effortless. I want to think all the bar and Resturant staff especially for their service and hard work. Along with the entire team that made this Easter weekend extremely unforgettable trip to Milan. We will be back! One other tiny detail they made the best French 75 I’ve ever had!
