Neighborhood
Bicocca
Although Bicocca is a peripheral district, many visitors will find it appealing. The district is enveloped by the immense Parco Nord (North Park), one of the largest parks in Europe. Inside is the theater Arcimboldi, one of the most important contemporary theaters where concerts and shows are organized. In the same area, there is the University of Milan Bicocca, whose distinct architecture rivals a movie set. Coffee shops, a multiplex and a shopping center are in the campus, along with the Fondazione Hangar Bicocca, one of the most famous museums of Contemporary Art.

I'd like to start this review by saying quite frankly that I'm amazed by the fact this hotel has four stars and also how highly it seems to be rated by a lot of other visitors. I'll try and break this review down into a couple of areas which I think warrant attention. Rooms: Riddled with BEDBUGS. I woke up every morning with somewhere in the region of twenty painful bites over my feet and ankles. Speaking to other guests in the same hotel leads me to believe this is a fairly widespread problem in this hotel. The room I stayed in, along with the entire hotel, felt generally quite unclean and there was a lot of build up of dust / mould in the corners of the room and shower etc. The facilities in the room were found lacking. insufficient number of drawers for clothes, lack of a kettle, only one plug socket which worked. How this is a four star "business" hotel is beyond me. Awful interior soundproofing. Service and location: Contrary to a number of other reviews I found a lot of the staff I spoke to to be rather rude and unhelpful. Particularly the staff on the main desk seemed fairly unhelpful and as though they were in a rush to get rid of me whenever I had questions etc. Close to conference venues but otherwise in the middle of nowhere. The district was fairly unpleasant and riddled with unsavoury characters after dark. Breakfast: Dreadful. Poor selection, poor quality, poor infrastructure. Would be hard pressed to find a worse breakfast. Summary: I think this is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My only consolation is that I was there for a business trip and therefore didn't pay for the hotel myself.

The hotel is located far away from the city, 20 mins by taxi. Stayed here due to closeness to my meetings during business trip and every evening you must take a taxi to the city. There are very few places to go nearby. The hotel itself has only a very small bar and no real nice lobby area at all. The room was ok, the bed was soft and big double bed. The bathroom had a nice shower but without a hand held shower which makes it difficult if you don’t wish to wash your hair. The breakfast included only the basics, but since being in Italy, we had late dinners with lots of food so weren’t too hungry in the morning.

Normally i stay here for one night. Nice and clean hotel, good location, very clean rooms. Breakfast is basic but enough to survive. More attention to details would make the difference. Restaurant in the night is useful.

The hotel is clean and modern with a 5 minute walk to the metro station. The bedroom was very spacious and cozy. The bathroom was very contemporary and pristine. There is need for a better variety at breakfast however and a better approach to allergen protection in the bedrooms. The rooms contain a TV within the mirror, a safe, air con and a stocked mini fridge with prices being cheaper than the restaurants I might add (which is ideal after a long day of being in the Italian heat). Beds were comfy however took a while to receive the extra pillows that were requested as the one isn't quite enough. Be cautious as there is a city tax even though the hotel is quite outside the actual city (bit cheeky really). Overall, staff were friendly and the hotel was the perfect place to rest your head.

Clean, spacious, and quiet. What more can you want from a room. As always in European hotels...no iron in the room, which is so frustrating for business travel. Breakfast was adequate, didn't try evening service.
