Had an early flight out of Malpensa and opted to stay near Milano Centrale. Got a great rate on a single room here; clean and quiet despite facing the street. 24 hour front desk meant leaving early was no problem.

This hotel was just a minutes walk from the train station and was very easy to find using a google map. The neighborhood was pleasant with wonderful eating establishments within walking distance. Staff was very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was delicious and quit adequate. Breakfast staff were very nice whipping us up espressos each morning. Room was just right in... More

I only arrived at the hotel late at night and and left in the morning after breakfast. The person at the reception spoke basic English but was exceptionally helpful in all respects. The rooms was comfortable and so was the bathroom. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Literally a 5 - minute walk from the Milano Centrale (Milan Central... More

Room was clean and small; furniture is old with the exception of the TV. Small bathroom with shower. I found the pillow hard and indeed I woke up with some neck pain. Staff was friendly, breakfast is very basic for a 4 stars hotel, served in a small room. Price paid for the single room was excessively high (160 euro/night),... More

Shower was small and lack of power. Clean room. BEd was OK. Air con was good. wifi was fast. Staff was rude. breakfast was basic. I dont think with the price I paid this is at all worth it. The only good thing is it is very close to centrale station

Milan is certainly a very amenable city but its municipality should revise the way they grant stars to hotels. I stayed in Hotel Colombia for two weeks (25 August - 7 September - room 304) and the first thing you appreciate is the location, as it is few hundred meters away from Milano Centrale rail station. However, when you come... More

Since we have been flying out of Italy via Milan during our holidays in North Italy in the past year, we always need a hotel the day before our departure. The two previous hotels we stayed were fully booked. Luckily, there was an available room at Hotel Columbia. The hotel is just a block away from the central station. They... More

We stayed just 1 night before our trip back to the states. We stayed in 2 and 3 star hotels in Milan prior and in other locations in Italy and this was by far, disappointing. The tiny room. The bare thread towels. And when I complained, the desk person said there was nothing he could do. I would have given... More

The hotel is located within 5 minutes of Milan Centrale which is why I chose to stay here. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area but there are plenty of restaurants nearby (within a minute walk). The main points of interest are about 30 minutes walk. Check in was swift but I had to carry my luggage... More

Milan is in the height of a World Fair at Fiera City so hotel space is at a premium and is costly as a result. However we were booked into this hotel late in our planning at a really reasonalbe price. Unsure of the area when we left the Central Station we went to the tax rank opposite and asked... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
