We stayed here two nights & found it a perfect stay. The location was excellent, close by Metro & trams, right by the Via Buenos Aires shopping street and only a short walk or tram from the Duomo, Navigli & any other part of Milan you'd ever want to get to. Mariagrazia was a charming and helpful host. Our room... More

We stayed at Gioia House for three days on the advice of a friend who lives in Milan. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The owners, Mariagrazia and Paolo, are a charming couple who are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent; there were coldcuts, cereal, yogurt, bread, juice, cappuccino and even eggs cooked however you want them.... More

Gioia House has a lot going for it: It's good value in a rather expensive city (especially if, like us, you get upgraded from shared bathroom to en-suite) It's friendly and efficient - from the impeccable directions to make sure you find it, to the coffee that Mariagrazia found when she discovered I was caffeine-intolerant. It's quiet (at the back... More

Great little place on side street within easy walking distance of historic center. A bit tricky to find first time out, but that's also why it's so quiet. Mariagrzia and Paolo are super gracious hosts and put out a fine breakfast. Some rooms are shared bathroom and the bathroom is absolutely palatial by older European city standards. Will definitely stay... More

My friend and I stayed at Gioia House for two nights. The host, Mariagrazia, emailed me a few days before to confirm our arrival time as each guest gets a personal greeting. It was quite easy to find as she had provided me with pictures! That was a nice touch! Once inside you didn't feel like you were in the... More

Gioia House was difficult to find in the back of inner yard. It is very basic accommodation with all the necessary stuff: air con, nice breakfast, good location and good bed. Hostess was very helpful and went all the way to make our stay was as good as possible. Walking distance from city center and good public transportation close to... More

I'll keep it brief; staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming, helped us with directions. Breakfast was fantastic, just like eating at a friends house. The room was very clean, bathroom excellent size with very good shower. Beds were amazing, very good firm mattresses and very good aircon. Wifi was useful too. Great location and excellent all round, especially for... More

Brillaint location, charming hosts, pretty rooms, great breakfast - just avoid the low attic rooms! Could do with better directions: go through the street gate arch, hard left to the next arch where there is a staircase. Go up one level (or take the lift); then walk straight ahead, taking a dog-leg around the balcony to the Guest House.
