It's a pleasent place to stay for a short while, close enough to the city center, and the value for the location is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. They must improve the cleaning. So if you want to stay for a short while close to the city center it's worthwile.

Expectations were not very high, since we paid not very much for the two nights we stayed. But after arriving we realized that even that was too much money for this dump! Apparently previously a 2 star hotel that is now called "Dateo" with 3 stars is more like a lousy roadside hostel. Already when stepping in the small room...

We booked economy room and I deeply regret it. It was hard to say a room, better yet a dump. There was no window, and it was pretty small (it was good that i am not a klaustrofobik). The location is good for the money, but you still need to use the public transport to go to the center, so...

Stayed in August at the end of our trip to Italy. The staff were extremely helpful both before our arrival with directions and once we got there they were great at giving up tips on where to go and how to get there. The hotel has no lift so was a pain having to carry our cases up 3 flights...

This hotel is easily reached from Linate airport by bus. The Airbus (5 Euros) is an express bus to the centre of Milan, but it does make one stop just 200 metres away from the hotel. One can also take bus No.73, get off at Piazza Emilia and walk about 350 metres (cost 1.50 Euros). The hotel has 4 floors...

The room wasn't very clean and there wasn't an elevator. As a result we were obliged to carry on our own the heavy luggage. The view from our window was pretty disgusting. The advantages are that it is placed close to the city center and the metro station while the price was pretty cool considered what was offered.

Air condition does not work properly and you should pay extra for it. Bathroom is so dirty, and the shower cabin won't been closed completely, shower is broken. Bathroom is to small as well as room size. If you used to walk bare foot, don't book any room in this hotel. I didn't even dare to have 2 steps on...

The stay at this hotel was very pleasant, although most of the time I was out and came to the hotel only to sleep. Very nice, quiet and clean hotel. The only problem was that my room didn't have any windows. However I didn't mind much that. It's perfect for young people that don't have a problem to walk to...

We stayed here for one night when visiting Milan. The hotel is close to a metro station which is a few stops away from the centre. I can't say that I was disappointed because for the price we paid I would say reflects what we got. The room was very basic. I think the hotel is definitely in need of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Dateo, a 2-star hotel in Milan, is located at a short distance both from the business centre of Milan, and from the tourist heart of the city (the hotel is just 1,500 metres from the Cathedral). Likewise, it is not far from the Central Station (2,500 metres) and from Linate airport (about 10 minutes by car or using bus 73). In addition, the central street Corso XXII Marzo is close at hand, providing a direct route into the city centre, and, in the other direction, leading to the ring roads and major motorways. A few years ago, the Passante ferroviario underground railway opened, providing a rapid link between all the underground railway lines and the railway stations, and making it quick and easy to reach various parts of the city, such as the State University, the Courts, the FieraMilanoCity showground, the FieraMilano Rho-Pero showground, and some important hospitals such as the Istituto Nazionale Tumori, San Raffaele, and the Istituto Clinico Citta Studi (Clinica Santa Rita). ... more   less
