Pros: location is great (walkable to major city attractions, very close to a central metro line); clean; large and apparently secure lockers; very good cost benefit in general. Cons: not at all the place you should be if you want to meet people (not the typical hostel environmental you might be looking for); staff is not so nice, they are... More

Very well located, 20 minutes on foot from the Duomo, right at the Brera neighbourhood. Spent two nights with a friend. The receptionist wasn't helpful at all, it felt like we were doing him a favour of being there (it should be the other way around!), he didn't even give us blankets (we had to ask) in a cold november... The decoration in general is very nice but our room was old fashioned and not clean. The blankets were very old, with terrible aspect and lint balls. The staff was not friendly at all. The localization is great. Good choice for one or two nights.

I was really looking forward to that hostel... It looked amazing in the pictures that were actually deceptive. It is old and dirty. Bed sheets are provided as an extra. They have some new good-looking furniture that you see in the pictures placed in old rooms to make it look better... Do not recommend the double rooms even if you... More

We stayed at a private room and it was comfortable. The reception lady was very nice. Brera is a very good location if you want to see the historical places and shop at the same time. I would recommend this hostel but I have no idea about its shared rooms. Everything was clean and the location was very good and... More

Stayed here one night in a 6 room dorm. Very large room with a huge locker provided, the room was separated into two separate sides of 3 beds with there own side shower/ bathroom, very nice by the way. Just a 5 min walk from the metro station & one stop from the famous duomo, would definitely stay here again.... More

This hostel is located a bit away from major streets and therefore is quiet at night. It is also conveniently located to a metro stop that goes everywhere you need. Staff is amazing, thanks a lot to them!

Our room was not clean enough, the bathroom was very dirty as well as the bedsheets.Furthermore the staff was rude and unwilling to help when we asked for some information.Noise was also a problem. However , the location of the hostel is very convenient.

Staying in Brera

Neighborhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
