Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

I stayed in this hotel for one night, but it was a real pleasant experience. Nice and modern room, somewhat small but perfectly adequate to my needs. The bathroom had all necessary toiletries. Great location. Breakfast was included in the rate and very good.No need for more while visiting Milan.

I stayed in this hotel only 1 night, so I cannot judge completely this hotel. What I can say is that at my arrival (around 5pm) there was construction works on the upstairs floor. I wanted to rest a bit after 5 hours driving early morning, but it was impossible. At around 6.30pm the hammer and driller stopped though. Overall it's a nice hotel, close to Bocconi's area. Easy parking with a beside parking with corporate rates.

It's not only a matter of location. When you're forced to live for a long time far from home, you need something more than being close to the city. Hotel D'Este is run by a qualified staff and you can feel it.

We stayed for 2 nights at this place. Rooms are quite narrow, but have a nice atmosphere. Breakfast (in the basement) is really fine. Location is good. Many shops and restaurants around, but easy to go to Milan centre!

The hotel is excellently situated for the Bocconi university and about a 20 minutes walk to the Duomo. There are several restaurants in the neighbourhood and guarded parking next door where you get a discount when staying in the hotel. We stayed in a superior room, which was sufficiently big, correctly appointed and soundproofed. Breakfast is in the basement, in a not very pleasant back room, but with a good choice and very kind staff.
