The room was a little small by American standards, but I found that most older European cities have smaller hotel rooms due to limited real estate. The room seemed a little dated as well. Its biggest selling points are the price (a good value for what you pay) and the fact that it is right next to the Duomo and... More

Although I was very worried about reserving this hotel, our experience went quite well. I reserved a renovated room and sent an email to the hotel stating my son's allergy issues. We got a totally renovated suite on B1 Level which was extremely clean, spacious and luxurious. The room was divided into two: on one side, a king bed with... More

My husband and I booked this hotel from booking.com and totally regret staying in this horrid, filthy hotel! I wouldn't even pay £1 for this! We were given a room where the air conditioning heated up and blew out dust, which affected my husband who is asthmatic. We couldn't sleep and complained to the receptionist who told us someone will... More

Few minutes walk from Milano central railway and metro station. Older building with old world charm. Good service and perfect location. You can take the train or the bus to malpenza airport and it takes about 75 min.

we stayed there for one night and we must say that location wise it is probably the best asset of this hotel as it is located close to the Duomo and the shopping landmark like the galleria Vittorio emanuele. In fairness the breakfast is acceptable and the rooms ok but we have notice some issue with the cleanliness and the... More

The hotel room on the 6th floor was terrible. The lobby of the hotel is deceiving because it looks updated and modern. My friend and I were given a room with two single beds on the sixth floor and it was dirty and run down. Apparently the hotel is undergoing renovations but haven't gotten to the 6 or 7th floors.... Unfortunately, we had booked 4 nights here on their discounted program. No refunds. And very unfortunately we had a family crisis the weekend before and ultimately unfortunately had to cancel the entire trip to Milan. I asked possibly for just HOTEL credit for when we rebook it. Answer--no. The crisis that had befallen us was horrible.

We stayed here a few days ago. We paid for 2 rooms, one for my husband and I and the other for our three adult children. Our room was on the 5th floor. It had an incredibly noisy air-conditioner that barely worked and was so noisy we couldn't hear the tiny TV. The bottom of the fake blue marble doors... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
