We had a wonderful trip to Italy and loved all the hotels we found on Tripadvisor except this one. There was no air conditioning at all in any of our three hotel rooms or the bar/breakfast area. It was easily 90 degrees outside. I didn't...More
We were able to check in early and requested an electril outlet converter for my 3 prong computer. The owner had a drawer full of converters and graciously offered me what I needed for the length of our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious....More
My husband and I went to the hotel for 4 nights (May 12 - 15). I have all positives ratings on this hotel relative to its location, the room, the breakfast, and the service in general, but I must discuss what happened during the last...More
This was the first of 3 hotels we stayed at in Italy and by far the best of all. It rates 3 stars but shines so much more than the 4 star one in Rome. The front desk staff is kind and helpful. The room,...More

We didn't arrive via Bergammo Airport, we came in through Milano Linate Airport and took a taxi from there which was not expensive and quick and easy. WARNING- do not take a cab offered by the well-dressed touts at the airport. Go to the taxi rank and get one there. It is much cheaper. I presume these touts will be in force at Bergamo airport too. If you opt for public transport into the city the tram system is excellent and cheap and easy. Get off at Corso Sempione via Canova and it is an easy walk to the Lancaster.
