Located in a nice alleyway just a few mins walk from La Scala and Piazza Cordusio. The hotel itself is great, 24hr reception, super friendly and attentive staff. Namely Ivan who was so kind! The rooms are clean and have some interesting points of interest (artwork and lights). We were in room 2, right next to the elevator (as requested)....

Although small, the room (a Superior double) had all necessary elements for a comfortable stay. Would have like more drawer or shelf space. Bathroom well-designed; good selection of amenities provided. Multi-lingual staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel well-located near Duomo. Our room (#44) overlooked a terrace and was very quiet. Breakfast was surprisingly good quality given the price (free!!); would...

Hotel Star is located withiin walking distance to many major attractions as well as public transport locations. The staff is especially nice and very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but like most Italian hotels, on the small side. The included continental breakfasts were very nice as well.

Located in a narrow lane behind the la Scala opera house, the hotel star is a great budget option for staying in a otherwise expensive location in the city centre of Milan. Brightly decorated rooms, comfortable bed, big sized bathroom with great fittings. The staff is friendly and courteous and the included breakfast was great and had a good variety...

Star is located central to the big seven of Milan: Duomo, Victor Emanuel, Castello, Brera, Rinocente, Skala and fashion district. All on walking distance. What the hotel makes special is a great friendly knowledgeable reception and fine clean spacious rooms. The breakfast is diverse. That all for a sharp price. We stayed there many times. I would only advice people...

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
