This place is great for very young travelers who can deal with confined spaces, loud party atmosphere, and cheap food/drinks. Location to the main train station was also great. Our private room was too expensive, and we had to take cold showers. We asked the front desk to fix our hot water but they didn't have any maintenance people on... More

The vibe of the entire hostel is very unique and charming, with friendly staff who take the time to talk to their guests. The services offered are also very generous, with free breakfast, dinner and a 24/7 bar with very good priced drinks for Milan. The rooms themselves are fairly small but by no means too small, especially with balconies... More

I arrived at the hostel at 1.30am and the staff were so friendly and welcoming! The beds are clean and the room is a comfortable size. The food at dinner is free and really nice pasta, breakfast is basic but perfect for a pice of toast on the go! The location is PERFECT, I was able to get to the... More

This was my first experience of staying in a hostel and I loved it. We had a private room which was great, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful, literally could not do enough for us. Apperitivo between 7 and 9 is amazing! Buy one drink and there's a whole range of pasta, risotto... More

Our family of four had a great time at Ostello Bello with our private bunk room and en suite bathroom. Valeria and Elisa were very helpful in accommodating some changes to our plans. The hostel has a very fun vibe and it was a great way to introduce our teenagers to hosteling. They have the usual hostel kitchen and game... More

I truly enjoyed my stay here. All the staff were diligent and cared about the integrity of their hostel. It was clean and well organized. I really liked the communal kitchen. But some others did too and did not clean up after themselves. Location was also good. Very close to Milan's great public transportation system. The meals provided were well... More

This is my second time at this place. First time was when I was backpacking many years ago. Ostello Bello is quite simply one of the best hostels I've stayed. The people are unbelievable. Super friendly, very very helpful and great company. The rooms are very clean. Kitchenettes with food for all is a place to make friends. The aperitivo... More

While I did not stay here by choice (met up with a friend in Italy who had booked a double room here), I found it is lively, clean and the staff very friendly. The rooms are clean and the bar serves as a local hangout. If you're looking for peace and quiet to sleep off your jet lag, I wouldn't... More

Lots of nice thought put into this place. They offer a free drink on arrival, great check-in process with lots of useful information. Wifi is free and they even offer free USB wifi to take on your trip out around Milan. Laptops and ipads are available to borrow, printing is free. Even more amazing is the free communal dinner which,... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
