The hotel is well-located, about 800 feet from the Duomo, and within walking distance of most of the sites we wanted to visit. The hotel itself was nice enough - our room was very small and the a/c over two days struggled (we closed the blinds and gradually got the room bearable - it took hours). Breakfast was very nice... We arrived at the hotel and found our room to be very spacious, contemporary, and well appointed. It was very nice. It was also well situated in the historic district with close walking distances to shopping and sites. We asked the front desk to arrange a taxi to the air port for the next morning at 7:30 am. The Mercedes... More

Hotel was in a great spot for exploring Milan, we were not too far from The Duomo or La Scala. We stayed in a quadruple room which was very big and comfortable. A lovely and unexpected welcome bottle of cold proseco was delivered to our room the first evening. There is a great rooftop bar on the 10th floor. Milan... More

This hotel has a great location very near the Duomo Cathedral with the most amazing roof top bar/restaurant also with fantastic views. We had a room on the 10th floor which meant we just walked out to the bar area. The room was lovely with an extra large double bed. Breakfasts were excellent and all the staff were very friendly... I picked this place for the location and I was not wrong. 5 minutes walk from Duomo square, plenty of buses, trams, metro around together with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Clean rooms and lovely bathrooms. The 'free' breakfast was also outstanding ! The only issue is related to the tram noise early in the morning so ideally ask... More

Room was hot. Numerous complaints resulted in late night calls from front desk exclaiming no ability to fix and need to change room. Now, I say? Yes sir, we are full and you need to move now or we cannot solve "your" problem. Asked for promised fan. Never showed up despite several reminders. The frosting on the cake? Brought me... More

You can't fault the location - a short walk from the Duomo - and nor can you fault the rooms which are large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice. There's a great rooftop bar - expensive but very good views (although a private function meant it was unavailable one night of our stay). if that was it... More

If you are reading this, I suspect that you are interested in booking this hotel. If so, I heed and plead you not my learned friend. During my short stay (4 days, 3 nights) at this Hotel dei Cavalieri, it has been a series of unfortunate events. This can be witnessed by 4 events that my mother and I experienced... More

Myself, my wife and our child spent two nights here. I really can't fault it. The location is perfect for being close to the centre of Milan - a five minute walk from Duomo. My understanding is that the place is used for a lot of conferences, events as it's large and there are a number of meeting rooms etc.... More

We stayed here 4 nights for a conference and were delighted. It is walking distance to the main Milan tourist attractions and the Visitor Center. The hotel provides a fabulous breakfast. The staff are quite helpful. On the downside, the internet at night is erratic, and when I was working it shut down for 10 - 15 minutes at times.... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
