The Good: We paid 1009 Euros for 2 double rooms for 3 nights each, which is less than 200 Euro a night - great price. The location is really ideal, the shopping and the Duomo are less than 5 minutes walking. The breakfast was very good, especially considering European breakfasts are usually coffee and rolls. The wait staff was excellent,...

Traveling back to my hometown with both my sons for the New Year, I stayed here for a week. This is not a design hotel, at all - the rooms have a feel straight out of the '50s :) but they are clean, with all you need and quiet (and who wants to stay in the room when you are...

This hotel is located in the heart of Milano, very close to Duomo and metro station San Babila. It is a little bit old but it is very clean and comfortable. The rooms are warm and have many amenities. The breakfast has a big variety of pastry and other goods and fresh oranges is included. The personnel is very helpful.

The hotel has a great location, very close to the duomo and other touristic spots. The service is great, the breakfast is very complete and the service is very efficient and nice. The only thing is that is looks a bit old and could be refurbished. The overall evaluation is really positive.

Very good with excellent breakfast and acceptable free gym inside for 24 hours. The location is accessing the most important spot in Milan. Only 300 meters from San Babila Metro station "Red Line". Close to the shopping center of Milan.

Galileo hotels seems to have been built 40-50 years ago without any refurbishment since then. The rooms are big but old, gloomy and with very poor lightening. It was probably an exception but I had no hot water in my room during my stay. When I informed the staff next day, they barely apologized. Breakfast is poor, level of a...

The staff is excellent, helpful and kind! The location is excellent, two minutes from the Duomo. Very noisy at night from rubbish trucks and road cleaning vehicles working since 4:00 am ! Rooms and public areas are tired and old fashioned, it could do with a serious remodeling and modernization.

Very good hotel in a great spot. Very close to the Duomo, La Scala etc. Great shopping close by. Staff at hotel are very friendly and professional. Breakfast is excellent. Room was spotless and bathroom was good size. Bed was very firm but actually slept very well in it! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
