We spent the Easter weekend in Milano and booked into this hotel. It is very close to the Duomo church, and many of Milan's top shopping districts are just a few minutes of walk. The room was small, but quite the average European tourist class level, so nothing to complain about. The toilet was quite ok, but after each shower,... More

The Receptionists were very well educated, helpful and informed with many information. The room was big and clean and equipped with everything. Windows opened and room service was impeccable. The hotel is located very well and in the middle of everything.

This hotel is located just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Duomo, the Galleria, La Scala, shops and restaurants. Hotel is in some need of updating but our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was okay and the food in the hotel's restaurant was very good though a bit pricey! The staff was very, very helpful and friendly.... More

Located in the middle of milan, it is a fine choice to use as a base to explore the city. Good prices, friendly staff. The building itself though is kinda delapidated. Dont recommend staying in the room for long. All in all, visit this hotel if you are looking for a good choice to explore the city from.

Myself, husband and daughter visited Milan and stayed at the Galileo Hotel for the long Easter weekend, 25th to 28th March 2016. The hotel is in a very good location with in a few minuets walk from the beautiful Duomo Cathedral, museums, shops and restaurants, the Galleria is a must see full of beautiful style and amazing designer boutiques. Although rooms were good size- they were old and smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom was Very old- chipped counters- with some sort of 1960 machine on the wall that was supposed to represent a blow dryer. This was ridiculous - a waft of warm air came from a long HOSE that did not have enough power to dry a small... More

I stayed one night as an extension of my business trip and was impressed by the service, the room and the location - specially the location. I picked the hotel based on price - I got a very good rate of 110 Euros a night. I didn't have the breakfast, choosing to sleep in instead. The bed was comfortable if... More

The hotel is located centrally close to the Duomo Cathedral. The hotel us clean, staff are friendly, good choice for breakfast and still little touches like waiting on staff in white jackets and bow ties. Food in restaurant was lovely

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
