Rooms were very nice here. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection to pick from. The metro and buses stop near by so that was handy. There is also a shop just around the corner if you needed it. The hairdryer wasn't very good.

Good location if you want to discover the city on foot. All the basics are available. Well stocked mini-bar. There is a cooker in the room but no coffee or tea, you should ask for it at reception. Staff are very helpfull and friendly. Although our room was located on the street side it was very quiet.

Stayed for 2 nights Cleanliness: hotel was nice and clean. No problems. Staff: very friendly and helpful, especially those at front desk. Food: breakfast included in room rate. Continental but not enough selection. Bacon was bad quality as had loads of hard fat on it. Unsatisfying but as it was free, guess it's not too bad. Location: good location. 10...

It is a very basic hotel. You don't even get tea and coffee in your room you have to ask for it at the reception. The staff are lovely which is a redeeming feature. The location is ok and it is central. The room is clean and the sitting area in the foyer is comfortable. You get free wi fi....

We stayed here for business/holiday - location was the only thing that was OK. Otherwise it's horrible! You could hear EVERYTHING in our room - from the guy singing in the shower next door, to people going to the toilet, creeks and bangs along with the noise on the street. The whole place and rooms are VERY dated and shabby,...

A short walk from the Galleria and Duomo, and not far from La Scala - so the location is excellent. Room was clean and simple. Bed comfortable enough, but the wi-fi was far from reliable and clunky at best (a problem as I was in Milan for work). Breakfast was adequate apart from truly awful instant coffee - in Italy!...

Hotel Ascot is well situated, just two tram stops from the Duomo. It is clean, well functioning, and businesslike, but not specially charming from the outside. The room was a little chilly when the the autumn was beginning. The breakfast is excellent!

We had a big room and bathroom. Location is amazing 10 minute walk to main attractions or close to bus/metro. Breakfast buffet not great but fine for a cup of coffee and snack. Front staff helpful and friendly with good English

Thanks to the street signs it's quite easy to find the hotel. Location is excellent - only 5 minutes walk from Duomo and Gallery Vittorio Emanuele, 10 minutes walk from Navigli... Reception needs a good renovation, rooms are a bit out of date, but quite comfortable for Milanese and Italian standards. Furniture needs to be replaced, but the bathroom was...

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
