Having stayed with my sisters many times in the Berna we have never underestimated the excellent service, friendliness and comfort of this wonderful hotel. We are never disappointed. It is really a home from home only better! Our room (522) this year appeared to have been completed updated, the grey colour scheme is very sophisticated and relaxing. it is tempting to... More

Before you even arrive there, you can choose your pillow, the temperature of the room etc. They will take good care of you during your stay, and even after that ("would you like to have some water with you for the day? take some chocolate and cookies, you have a long day ahead of you").

Old world hotel with very comfortable rooms that are big enough. I had a Superior Single with a double bed. Perfect for me. Liked the bathroom a lot with the long counter over the sink. Location is excellent. Close to the main train station and right down the block from the main subway line. Just remember what subway door you... More

The hotel is within walking distance of Stazione Centrale; great, accommodating staff; the widest variety for breakfast I've ever seen. Their Happy Hour spoiled our plans for dinner one night (it was THAT good).

Great location, clean room, very friendly and helpful staff. Located 5 minutes from Centrale the main railroad station (quickest way to Malpense airport) and 3 stops on subway or a 25 minute walk to La Scala or the Duomo. Very friendly staff and nice, modest rooms.

Berna is a four star hotel with a five star staff! We chose the hotel based on its proximity to the central train station. We needed a train to the airport and wanted to be walking distance to the train station. Berna fit the bill. We were probably most impressed with the service and attention we received from the entire... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
