The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Excellent hotel. I booked on the recommendation of a Milanese friend whose father uses for his clients and was not disappointed. The style is very traditional Italian with lots of antique styling but the rooms are equipped with all mod cons. Room was small but adequate - safe and wardrobe with ample hangers, a trouser press. Beautiful bathroom with power shower and well stocked with toiletries in really good sized bottles which were replenished daily. Definitely no need to bring shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/cotton buds or cotton wool as these are all there. The TV has very many English speaking channels so you could watch anything you could watch in UK plus satellite ones. Interesting range of bar snacks/sweets if you get peckish and herbal teas as well as the usual tea/coffee. My deal included breakfast - it was never too busy and the breakfast was nicely presented and included cooked items as well as fruit/ cheese and pastry. In relatively quiet location for central Milan but minutes from shops and cafes. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and all spoke excellent English if you are linguistically challenged like myself. They pride themselves on being able to deal with even most demanding customer and its difficult to identify anything they could do better. Views aren't nice but if you're in Milan you are going to be out absorbing the Italian ambience anyway.

For non Europeans, could have been a little intimidating. However, hotel is close to all amenities, shopping, dining, and easy access to underground and trams. Very close to Duomo one of the main tourist attractions. Hotel is not a 5 star International brand, rather more in boutique class. Could do with a little more" internationalisation", as staff seem a little insular to anyone not familiar with Europe and its nuances, language, etc.

Great hotel in good location (close to shops, restaurants, metro) with good size rooms and comfortable beds. The rooms are equipped with kettle, coffee, mini bar, iron board, hair dryer and good soap/shower gel products. The breakfast is really good and includes eggs, pastries etc. It is really fantastic that one has access to freshly brewed coffee/espresso/cappuccino all day long plus pastries, all for free. Staff is very friendly. My father who is a wheelchair user got upgraded for free to a suite. We loved this hotel and we will be back. Grazie mille.

I wasn't happy that my hotel voucher given to me by the booking agency (double room) was not honored and I was given a single room. The shower is far too small for a person of my size - even though I'm not excessively overweight. Otherwise the quality of the room and service was good - breakfast excellent.
