Our stay (3 people, two rooms) was just perfect at Ripa Del Naviglio (from 28.10 to 30.10.2016) We have been so warmly welcomed by Luisa - the owner - that I thought to have just arrived in my own family. Luisa has been helpful in any point, so that we have felt immediately comfortable in the B&B and in Milano....

We really enjoyed our stay here as part of our honeymoon. We were greeted by the owner Luisa. She was very friendly, down-to-earth and informative. She provided us information about the area, places to eat and locations to visit upon introduction. The B&B is only minutes from the Metro which is very convenient and there is great cafes and restaurants...

I booked this based on traveler ratings and it worked out really well. New, clean and very comfortable rooms. 20+ minute walk from the Duomo and near to a busy restaurant/bar area - quiet just around though. The owner is great and has good information. Breakfast is decent. Note: read the email they send you before you arrive, it has...

The location is absolutely wonderful. You are right in the middle of a huge array of food, drinks and entertainment. Located in the heart of one of the hip happening area of Milan. You have no trouble whatsoever in finding a good restaurant, in fact you are spoilt for choice here. The host Lusia is very warm, helpful and friendly....

We're a young french couple looking for a quiet place to stay during a week-end in Milan! Luisa, a lovely lady welcomed us with a big smile even if we're a bit late at the B&B! She gave us a lot of informations with a really good english! Room full-furnished, clean and comfortable! Breakfast was tasty and at the end...

Great restaurants, cafés and bars just round the corner, yet the B&B is in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood. Trams, buses (incl. hop on - hop off) and the railway station is within easy reach (5-10 minutes on foot). It takes about 20 mins to reach the city centre on foot. The landlady, Luisa, who speaks a very fine...

This is my second visit and I recommend this B&B because of the location, room and services and most importantly the kindness of the owner, Sign.ra Luisa, which make the real difference. The location is great, close to taxi, metro and other public transports. By foot to the city center is 20/25 minutes. The area is very lively at night...

super welcoming place, excellent host, close to public transportation, with market on saturdays right in front of the house, fantastic chance to enter beautiful navigli buildings from inside. some comments state that breakfast is poor - this is NOT the case at all. you have everything that you need, the only thing that the bed and breakfast in italy are...

Thank you so much for the review! Sorry for the shower. The water heater has a 24/24 tank that allows you to make 4 showers simultaneously. But that morning the electric switch of the boiler was switched off. It 's a mystery. It was late for April Fool's and early for Halloween. A joke?!? ... We do not know. But...

The first thing to stress about the B&B is it's great location. The area immediately surrounding the canal, located opposite, is alive with a flourishing terrace culture that hosts a broad variety of trendy bars and restaurants (with something for everyone). Just five minutes walk will get you to Porta Genova, the M2 metro stop, and access to the rest...

The location of this B & B is very much in the southern part of the city, in the arts quarter, arriving by the M2 (green line) and take the Via Caselle and follow that road to the pedestrian bridge over the canal. Its literally a few minutes walk. Don't be confused by the Corso Genoa its the Caselle road...

Thanks for the careful review. We ask our guests to consider that Milan is a great city full of people and traffic. The Naviglio Canal, in particular, is a place where to meet and have fun. We can not "turn off" the area. According to the Italian Law for "bed and breakfast" , we must serve packaged/sealed products with expiration...

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
