A nice pet friendly hotel near the center. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was quality and rich. The staff was polite and they offered us dog-cookies at check in.

I travelled from Geneva to Milan with my family by car, and upon arriving, we directly checked in and went in our rooms to rest a bit before heading out for dinner. My first observations of the hotel were that it was understaffed (there wasn't anyone to help us with our luggage at the entrance, nor anyone watching to see who enters and exits) and that the reception was relatively far from the entrance (again meaning anyone can enter the hotel and there was no one who would check or care). I heard a knock at my door and assumed it was my parents coming to check on me and my dog. However I opened the door, a man with a cap, sunglasses and mask with a backpack was standing there. I was shocked but before I can react, the man gave me a business card and left. I was enraged as I shouldn't be getting strangers at my hotel door, let alone publicity; did not pay for a hotel to feel like I'm living in the streets with strangers having access to my door. So I took this man's card to the reception and reported this strange incident and ASKED for the hotel to send security to check my floor out (I didn't think I would need to mention that they should search all floors, but clearly I should have). When I went up, I saw this man walking across the corridor my room was in again, and he even waved at me. I ignored him and went into my room, thinking the hotel staff will take care of him in a few minutes. I left my dog in my room (as the hotel did not allow dogs) and went for dinner with my parents. When I came back, I opened my door expecting to be greeted by my dog, but he never came, and shortly I realised he was stuck in the bathroom. This was already strange, but then when I saw my room, I immediately knew someone had broken into it. They had gone through all my belongings; my laptop, my designer bags, sunglasses, shoes, and everything valuable was gone. I was furious because I was clearly targeted and I had warned the staff about the strange man. APPARENTLY they did send someone to look for the strange man, but what was clear to me is that I was not taken seriously, and now I paid the biggest cost. Aside from all the stolen items were expensive, but there was 4 in particular that had big sentimental values, and can never be replaced (also literally because they won't ever be produced again, or in the colour I had). When the police arrived, I realised they were just as lazy as the staff as they did not even check my room nor the building to see if the suspect was still there. It was my Father who then found markings on my hotel door which were proof of forced entry. The next day I met with the General Manager, he was a kind and honest man, and he personally went to the police station with me helped me change my previous police report as it had not mentioned that there were signs of forced entry. Unfortunately for the GM, that is the only good thing I have to say about this hotel. It took the hotel's insurance 3-4 months to pay me back following countless and frankly pointless emails asking me for the documents I had already provided them. Management doesn't seem to be their strong suit. Furthermore they are very stingy for a chain hotel of their success; their first proposition only covered ONE FIFTH of what I had lost. It was honestly almost humorous how they came up with the amount. I was lucky enough to have a good insurance and was fully covered, and my insurance managed to force them to pay at least half as it is literally the least they could do. I also was told that the floor do not have security cameras, and the elevator in general was not the type that only guests could use with their cards. So in terms of security, this hotel has got none. Now I don't know if the hotel changed their security, I hope for them that they did, but if they haven't, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The hotel better be counting their blessings that my dog was not hurt during this whole incident, because this would have been a lot more of a headache for them than me complaining and asking for my money back. Apart from that, the rooms were nice, but the breakfast food was terrible (there is such a thing called seasoning)

Lovely hotel, good location in between the city centre and central station. The room was basic but clean with wonderful coffee making facilities and Water is complimentary. The bed was also comfortable. Paolo at reception was extremely helpful and helped us make reservations for that night and answered all of our questions. The hotel gave us a complimentary drink to celebrate our honeymoon in their bar. Breakfast is now very different due to COVID however there was a good selection. The coffee was wonderful

Sherikah the receptionist was absolutely adorable! Same for the staff at breakfast who provided great service and smiles you could see even under a mask, which we found out to be not that all common at all with Milanesi ;) Breakfast has everything you could want, the hotel itself is well designed “South Beach Miami meets Il Duomo”. The rooms could use a few more amenities than the minimum: bathrobes and slippers would be great. No extra pillows and linen in the closet, which would be appreciated as well. You can cast Netflix from your laptop to the tv, which is great! The one thing that was a let-down was the fact the hotel advertises “parking available” while they don’t have any. You have to go to autosilo piazza della Repubblica, which is only two streets away, but the man who took our car turned out to be a jerk and passably racist, definitely not 4 star material.

Regarding room items we can deliver on request with any problem, if you need bathrobe and slipper you need to fill our app and someone will come to your room with all the material. Is one of our Covid measure to not leave those items on the rooms to protect our guests. For the parking i will check and also if is not our im sorry the wrong and terrible attitude of the person in charge. Best Regards, Laurent Heras Guerquin General Manager

Stayed here a couple of times on business. Pros and cons; Standard rooms very basic with not even a luggage rack or room tea/coffee tray. The superior rooms are better equipped with the aforementioned items, but this should be provided as standard in a modern 4 star hotel. Last time I stayed, I checked in late and the older gentleman on reception was not very friendly or welcoming to me as a returning guest. Also, no offer of room upgrade or premium WiFi as a platinum NH Hotels cardholder. Other reception staff have been much more pleasant, especially the young Filipino girl. Breakfast staff have all been efficient and friendly and the breakfast selection and quality quite good. Haven’t had drinks or dinner here so can’t comment. Overall it is okay.
