Our stay here was just excellent in every respect. The hotel's interior decor is opulent but tasteful, with comfortable seating everywhere.

The room had great amenities, although the antique architecture of the hotel means that some of them can have weird configurations. We especially appreciated the toiletries from Etro, which gave us a great taste of Italian luxury.

The staff at the hotel was friendly, responsive and very professional. They went out of their way several times to accommodate our requests. We also enjoyed the service at Don Carlos and Jerry's - food and beverages were excellent and the staff was very friendly and professional.

Overall, a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of a short stay in Milan.

A grand old hotel centrally located near high-end shopping, attractions, and public transport.
Staff were delightful and couldn't have been more friendly, providing excellent service and hospitality.
We had a small room but the hotel removed some furniture as requested to create less clutter.
The public spaces are gorgeous and welcoming, and a lovely tranquil spot to rest after a busy day.
Strongly recommended.

What does one say about perfection..... other than it was perfect. After a cold and damp few days in London, we jetted our way to our most beloved Italy. We planned to connect with a friend (whom we met on an earlier excursion to Piedmont in 2019), but unfortunately, he was unable to meet. Disappointed but never sad in this most amazing country, we ventured out and witnessed Italian elegance at its best. Upon arriving at our destination for the evening, Grand Hotel et de Milan, we were greeted by Rachel and Andrea, who provided a quick and informational check-in. We were whisked up to our room (absolutely lovely) and provided with a quick overview of what this beautiful property could offer.

We decided to stay in for dinner, after visiting the cathedral and Dior Christmas tree.... both a must for anyone! The staff made a reservation for us at Don Carlos and gastronomic glee ensued! Our host for the evening, Ricardo suggested a simply wonderful meal and fabulous bottle of wine. You cannot go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu, but the Osso Bucco was simply the best I have had. For those who may not wish to partake of veal (totally get it), there are other options that will make you swoon. In addition to the wonderful company of my husband, the amazing food and wine, Ricardo also assisted me with my fledgling Italian and laughed at the fact I can name most animals.. thank you Duolingo!

After dinner, we retired to the beautiful lounge, surrounded by sumptuous style and refinements that can only be offered by the Italians. Alessandro and Francesco expanded our knowledge in the art of digestivo and Jefferson with a slight hint of orange was the perfect concoction to settle our dinner. We chatted with both about Milan and the wider Italy; the importance of taking care of family, friends and new acquaintances, all are at the center of Italian life. These amazing young men reflected to us the future of Italy, but also the respect of what has come before them. That night we slept better than we had in a few nights, knowing that we are yet again in our country away from home and could not wait for our next stop.... Florence, here we come!

For many years, this Leading Hotel has been our point of entry and departure to our frequent and lengthy Italian travels and stayed here a couple of days upon arrival and the same at departure. Its location is unique in the center of Milan’s Fashion District, walking distance Teatro alla Scala, Milan Cathedral, Piazza del Duomo, and the Magnificent Galleria Vittorio Emanuel.

Unfortunately, on this trip the decline in overall service, front desk staff, porters and room condition was noticeable. While I understand that rooms are being renovated, ours was disastrous with worn furniture and rust and mildew on the tub glazing. The promised daily newspaper in the room was never delivered. The main entry porters were absent about 70% of the time where before there was always one or two ready to greet you or open the doors upon return from shopping or dining.

Parking is 50 Euros a night; I recommend you turn in your rental car upon arrival. I truly hope Hotel Management and/or Ownership wake up and restore the Grand Hotel Et De Milan to its grandeur and quality and service it once had.

This hotel occupies the old building, the rooms are shabby, but It gives some charm as it is very historical place.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing special and the service not that friendly as it should be in 5star hotel.
Also, we took car service with private driver to go to Serravalle outlet, and upon the check out the reception guy included extra hours which we did not take and also lunch of the driver, so it almost raised the total cost on 40% of the announced price. After our complain that removed it, but it made bad impression for us.
Won’t visit again.

I have stayed at Grand Hotel several times and each time I ask myself why I am coming back.
It is a hotel in a great location. But service, rooms, breakfast etc are not worth the money you have to spend each night you stay there.
The breakfast room is quite small (the veranda) and I have been asked to share the sofa Imsit in for breakfast with other guests. This is not anything that I have accepted. I want my own space when I have breakfast,
I was given, this time, a so called quiet room. But the whole night I could hear and feel the subway passing under the building.
When I checked out, like all other times, I have been charged for breakfast even if it is included. When I mention this to the receptionist they disappear for some to]ime to “investigate the matter”. It feels like the customer can not be trusted.
There are many good hotels in Milan and next time I will try another LHW or SLH property.

I was worried about staying in such an old hotel. I tend to prefer newer hotels for modern conveniences. But the Grand Hotel of Milan did not disappoint. My room was spacious and had every comfort, from an espresso maker and hairdryer to a safe and lots of USB charging stations. The A/C kept the room very comfortable and dry despite it being rainy and humid outside during most of my stay. The bed wasn't incredibly comfortable, but it wasn't bad; just average. The service was impeccable. Every person employed by the hotel went out of their way to be helpful. The location cannot be beat...walking distance to great shopping, major attractions, and just outside a subway stop. Their breakfast buffet was divine. I would stay here again.

I have been to Milan twice before and I have stayed at the Mandarin oriental and Park Hyatt. Both were good but the rooms at both hotels did not have much of natural light, I decided to stay at the Grand for a couple of reason, one the other two hotels were way more expensive and I wanted to be close to the shops on via Monte Napoleone. The hotel was very good, the room was large with two floor to ceiling windows and lots of natural light. One day I arrive late to breakfast which was included in my room and the hotel was nice enough to allow me to order breakfast a la carte. Very quiet room, large bathroom. The hotel exceeded my expectation and I would definitely stay there again. The room also had Nespresso coffee machine

My wife and I have stayed here annually for almost 10 years and love it! I come for partially for business but the hotel is so enjoyable it always seems like we are on holiday. We have stayed at the Four Seasons, the Bulgari, Principe Di Savoia, but this Hotel has the ambience of real Milan, its history, present and future. It is a beautiful property that functions superbly in todays world. The location is unbeatable: a block from the famous fashion stores, a block from the upscale Brera area, 4 blocks from La Scala and 6 blocks from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and the Duomo.

We stayed twice in June/July this year for a total of 7 nights and it could not have been better. The service was impeccable, friendly and efficient as always. The staff, from the front desk concierge, reservations, waitstaff, bellmen and housekeeping are mostly all Milanese! They live in Milan, not shuffled around from hotel to hotel as with the large hotel groups, and are diligent and enthusiastic. Any request is met with friendly fulfillment. The buffet breakfast and lunch at Caruso Nuovo Bistrot are first class, under the professional direction of Gaetano. Gerry's Bar in the wonderful lobby, adorned with fresh flowers, has seating for privacy as well as socializing. Don Carlos serves superb Milanese cuisine in an old world setting that is hard to duplicate .The clientele is a good mix of well healed Italians and international tourists.
If you want a true Milan experience, stay in this first rate hotel ! You will not regret it.

Great service, high quality in everything.

The breakfast room is a bit small so we needed to wait two days in a row before getting a table and sit in different tables since we are a family of five.
When travelling as a family for us it is important to spend time together and socialise as much as possible

Dear Gary, Thank you for the interest in the Grand Hotel et de Milan. The rates are generally without breakfast, with the exception of the Breakfast inclusive rate or special week-end offer.
