It is difficult to find rooms larger than 15-20m2 in centro storico, but the suites in this hotel are well above the average. Romantic spot and very close to the duomo. Very good restaurant Andry is next doors. Rooms are modern design but still warm interior.

The location on a quiet side street in and old building just steps from hoppin' Via Dante was excellent. Once the glass panel slides open and you enter it's a cool (literally!) shadowy, nearly theatrical change. Low key, quiet and proficient in the less-is-more school throughout. Our room on the 2nd floor with a small but charming balcony was all... More

We loved this small, intimate and cool hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and informative. The room was wonderfully appointed and luxurious - we had a suite. The hotel is well located in a quiet cul de sac, 5 minutes walk from the Duomo. We would happily recommend it and are already planning a return visit.

Palazzo Segreti I chose a different hotel this time because the last one (Hotel Palazzo delle Stelline) was a somewhat unsatisfactory for me (see my review). This one is quite aesthetically pleasing and don’t be put off by the name, house of secrets?, -it’s just a normal boutique hotel. A bit of a form over function thing going on in... More

The location is quite central. But the rest is average or even below. Hotel staff speaks primarily Italian. Breakfast buffet is mainly comprising cookies and white bread. There are about six tables, so better be early if you don't want to wait ... The elevator is tiny, for one slim person only. The room is ok but quite expensive compared... More

We recently stayed at Palazzo Segreti, and found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful; we were able to walk around the centre of the city with ease. There are many restaurants near the hotel as well. Our room was sparsely decorated, but we liked the modern style, and the bathroom was great. We would highly... More

This is a very nice hotel, except if you're looking for something classic. If you're an artist, a hipster, or with your partner, you'll love this hotel. If you're with your family, this hotel is not for you. The elevator is so small and very old (intentional), which I found very nice and interesting. Of course, families may not like... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
