I booked 2 rooms. We arrived early in the morning, and let our luggages. We were not proposed to put the luggages in the rooms, and then, exhausted after our working day, we had to do it ourselves. When I mentioned to the staff that they could have done it, I was answered that the "italian law" doesn't allow such attention.... More

I visited Milan in August and we stayed at Mercure Milano Solari. It was a great choice! The hotel is located very near the metro station and the streets are quite safe to walk at night. You can walk to Navigli street and enjoy the great restaurants and streets by the canal! Since the metro station is pretty close, we... More

You want to see how small a room can be? Simply book on this hotel. Though an Accor partner, you shall expect even less vs Accor standards which are already low. To make it even worse there are no idle sockets in the room,so you turn off the light to charge your phone. Ordered a sandwich in my room. One of the... More

Very good hotel with good amenities and its close to all transport links. Was so glad I read trip advisor before choosing. You are only about 10mins from Duomo with a Tram opposite the hotel. There is also the Metro(tube station) San Agostino, about 2 mins walk from the hotel, plus a taxi stop opposite the tram stop. Next door... More

Convenient location, 3 min walk to metro. At check in, we asked for a non-smoking room far from the evaluator. We got a room directly facing the elevator with 2 ashtrays in it. Went downstair to switch and was told that that's the only room available. While the room was clean, it's basic and small. The table at the end... More

From the minute I checked in, to the second I checked out, I felt very comfortable in this clean and modern hotel. The amenities are high quality, especially the bathroom which has a beautiful modern design. The balcony was a lovely addition. The staff were very accommodating, allowing me to borrow a plug converter and leaving my luggage with them... More

Fair experience at Mercure Solari. The hotel is close by the “Navigli” area, thus convenient to get in and out with public transport and close to one of Milan best nightlife area. The facility is well kept, and it feels more like being in apartments rather than in a hotel. Cannot report any particular detail that was too bad or... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
