The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.

Phenomenal large room! We had a room with two twin beds since my 21 year old son and I were traveling together. It was nice because the room was spacious and the beds were not jammed up against one another - they were comfortable too. There was a skylight... high ceilings... very well appointed room. The bathroom was HUGE and modern! Definitely one of the best places we stayed insofar as the room goes. Location - right on the canal which is beautiful! Note that if you'd like to eat along the canal, do so early as it gets very busy around 8:15ish. Breakfast - Excellent! Lots to choose from and they had scrambled eggs also. Service - The staff was fantastic! All did a great job! We appreciate that!

This hotel is so amazing because it is like a huge countryside house, only in the city of Milan. The space is airy and the inside courtyard is full with plants that provide the most amazing gentle scent. The lounge on the ground floor where you can have a drink or read is one of the coziest places I have ever been to. The best part is that all this is appointed in such an effortless and easy way. The rooms are not luxurious but rather spacious, practical and very pleasant. The access to the hotel (if you are by car) is not straightforward as you need to drive on to the canal which is pedestrian area mostly, but you just call the hotel before you arrive and you will have no problem accessing the place. The breakfast was simple but very "homey" and with special attention to dietary diversity like gluten free items and organic contents as well. This place is such a nice property that offers a true escape from the busy Milan center and a perfect night sleep.

Very nice familiary and cozy hotel in Milan. Friendly and proffessional staff over all. Nice clean rooms in the buildings courtyard. Quiet and calm. Very pittoresque and Milanese. I love to stay here and always do when in Milano. Improvment area: Lack good breakfast options for gluten and milkprotein intollerent guests. Please improve for a more modern and including approach. Highly recommend this hotel!
