We stayed here for two nights as part of my fiance's birthday celebrations and the staff really couldn't have done any more to make it super special! We got such a lovely warm welcome as soon as we arrived from Max who checked us in and we just knew that we were going to have the best couple of days here (just a little example of how personal the service is here - Max just so happened to check us out too and he remembered us, asked our my fiance's birthday was and kindly arranged for us to have use of the shower again before leaving for the airport later that day - he was so accommodating). Everything was perfect! The rooftop pool was a highlight for me, along with the beautiful cocktail bar, - it was so, so relaxing and such a bonus that I did not expect to get whilst away on a city break. It is stunning with gorgeous views - the perfect place to chill out and relax! The staff were so attentive and Dennis was lovely! He happily adapted my dish of choice so as to make it vegan and gave us invaluable information about which trams to get into the city centre, where the tram stops are (literally right outside the hotel) and how regularly they came! Thanks to Dennis and the amazing location of the hotel we literally only took one cab during our entire stay! The room was amazing with lovely big windows so you get loads of natural light and really generously sized! The bathroom was stunning too and the walk in wardrobe was a great size with loads of storage! The spa and gym are great too! My fiance's birthday was made so special by Carolina and Valentina both of whom I had spoken before we arrived. Both kindly came to greet us personally, little touches like this make all the difference, and they went above and beyond to make the day amazing for him! Also, everyone wished him happy birthday which I think is lovely! It really felt like everyone at the hotel was invested in making our stay perfect... and it was exactly that! It is without a doubt the best service we have received anywhere! It is so rare to find a stunning hotel and a team of people as genuinely lovely and hospitable as they are here! We had an amazing time and I would highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone (we enjoyed it as a couple, there were also families there and older couples too and everyone loved it)! Thank you Hotel VIU Milan for making our holiday so special :)…
Great design, excellent service (Thank you Monica, Laura and all other staff) and beautiful rooftop. What I like it that it is high-end but still relatively informal. You can relax normally, enjoy a drink, excellent food, go to gym/spa and sleep extremely well. I personally also love the area as it is unexplored by tourists and only a 10 minute walk to Brera or 20 Minute to Duomo.
Beautiful Hotel with exceptional service! Stayed there for 9 nights over Christmas and New Years. Stayed in a one bedroom suite with a nice view of Milan. Amenities were very nice as was the housekeeping! Celebrated New Years at the BULK Bar with amazing beats by DJ @hiorrana! Boi is my new home in Milano!
I would have given a higher review, as the lounge area and room decor are nice.. but this hotel fails in the basic reason why people go to a hotel: a quiet place to sleep. The hotel is near a streetcar station, and the roads next to the hotel have very, very loud streetcars passing every 20 to 50 seconds, throughout the night. I know this because after hours of the incredibly loud (much louder than any hotel room I've ever been in) noise keeping me up, I started counting the seconds between the streetcars (which take 10 full noisy seconds to pass, and sound like a train passing by outside your window). I got exactly zero sleep, and today I'm so tired that I actually feel achy. They should've soundproofed better when building the hotel. I used a decibel meter on my mobile and the sound was in the 30s and 40s decibels, from the bed with windows shut. I had specifically asked for a quiet room, but I guess all the rooms are incredibly loud. The location of this hotel, being near the street train station, is terrible. The manager, Lucas, was not only unsympathetic and patronizing but the jist of what he told me it's that they did me a favor by giving me an upgrade (they didn't, it was guaranteed in my booking, and despite that I still had to ask for it) so I should be happy with that and not complain. He flat out refused any token of compensation in any form, and didn't seem to care how I felt about the hotel. Nice. So we packed up and switched rooms, and as an extra treat from the manager, the new room was a downgrade. 😤 As side note about the restaurant: if they tell you they need to substitute something in a dish, expect the price to go up (for us, to went from €35 to €50, not a big deal but they should have mentioned it).…
Excellent hotel , exceptional stuff, We hade a great time there. the atmosphere of the hotel really special, very large and comfortable bathroom, great minibar We absolutely loved everything about this hotel and we will visit again soon Just Great !
For a fashion capital, Milan is surprisingly lacking when it comes to design-centered boutique hotels. We had a really hard time picking a hotel, especially because we weren't quite ready to shell out for Bulguri or MO hotel prices... Thankfully, Viu met our needs (though arguably more of a four-star hotel). The decor is hip and modern, more colorful in the common spaces and neutral/soothing in the bedrooms. The rooftop pool is also a nice touch for drinks. I'd say the general vibe is more suitable for couples than families. Other pros: service was friendly and unpretentious, the room was nice and quiet, and the location was central--an easy walk to Arco della Pace and Castello Sforzesco. And don't miss out on the wine shop/bar Cantine Isola around the corner, such a gem! Only con was breakfast, which was overpriced and mediocre.…
The hotel has great decor and vibe, while the staff are very friendly! Also its located in a very nice area, very close to the modern financial district and to great boutiques and restaurants. Highly recommended!
I have booked this hotel vi Marriout app as it showed as a 5 start hotel .As a Marriout platinum member, I would express my deep disappointment for my stay in this hotel. At the beginning they didn’t offer a parking for my car due to the unavailability of space . The house keeping didn’t not do a good job as they didn’t replace the water bottles and even the toilet paper I had to call the reception to get new ones. I also requested to have late check out as it is part of platinum membership benefits, but they said “we are not a Marriout hotel and the benefits are not applicable”. At the checkout, it took very long time to send someone to take the luggages from my room ( around one hour). On the other hand , most of the hotel staff were friendly and they have upgraded my room ( one of platinum memberships benefits). I would like to say they the hotel is under staff and that’s why everything is running vey slowly. Definitely they don’t offer 5 starts services and I don’t think that I would like to have this experience again Thank you…
Great rooms and service. Staff was professional. Breakfast was good quality and varied. Amazing view on the rooftop with a nice sized pool. Although not dead center of the city everything was easily accessible via metro. We would recommend the hotel.
Horrible management, poor services, pool design lacking! We arrived via a bon voy Marriott membership booking and were informed that our $400 room isn’t sufficient for two small kids. That we had to add another room. Ugh. We had just lost $800 worth of tickets at the airport due to a documentation error (not our fault). However we planned to go to another hotel, management decided to give us an added room for a discount. Still overpriced but ok. Get to room. No drinking water. Coffee maker is for higher grade rooms. Shower clogged. When asking for some remediation was told I would be black listed from hotel. Bizarre. Go to enjoy pool and it’s surrounded by breakfast guests- my kids felt awkward trying to enjoy it so preferred not to swim (weird design- not suited for enjoyment, just trendy lounging). Worst of it was the manager had the gall to come berate me at the Pool for my “unfair” requests for a working shower and drinking water and said our room was basically free $550?!) and we just be grateful for it. Snobbery Ill-fitting a 5 star establishment. All in all, a bizarre experience I’ve never encountered after dozens of Ritz, Oberois and the like. More like a trashy 4 star with attitude.…
