I took my dad to Milan for a family trip away to Milan and we chose this hotel as it looked to be a great location and a little bit of luxury. It was amazing! Luxurious, fabulous rooftop bar, on the tram but most of all it has the most incredible staff. Monica and Savo are the best!! They looked after us so well and made our trip. Missing them already!
Stayed there late July 2022 and the hotel is lovely! Truly a 5 star hotel! The location is not in central but close and easy access with the tram just by the hotel. The swimming pool is really nice but smaller than it looks in the photos. The staff are super nice!
Hotel VIU milan is a very sweet hotel located in the chinatown area of milan. Overview—— The entrance is very picturesque and it is only about 15 minutes brisk walk to the duomo. The amenities are nice. They have a spa a decently equipped gym and rooftop bar. I visited in March 2023 and was sad to see that the pool on the rooftop was not heated and definitely too cold to take a dip in. As well as the nighttime parties usually depicted on the sites web are a thought of fiction. The bedroom is very clean and nice , with the bathroom being even nicer. They provide you with a nice selection of late night snacks at the minibar but beware they will cost you quite a lot. The staff is the best part , they were very attentive and kind , though we did have issues checking in due to Italian laws , but that was not their fault. Also the restaurant they recommended us for ravioli and pizza was to say the least a bad recommendation. Maybe if we were trying to go cheap on food then yes, but still i would have much rather enjoyed a different spot. Anywho the rooftop bar closes at 11 which is a shame, but the downstairs lounge bar is open till 1 where I must give prompts to the bar man for making a astonishing espresso martini 😌. The breakfast was also a bit of a let down. I would have appreciated some more variety or maybe something traditionally Italian. However i will say that the alpine yogurt with honey that they provide is absolutely delicious. In the pictures I have the truffle eggs and I tried the pancakes as well which we’re average Otherwise than that the sauna is average and the lobby as well is nothing to gawk at. It is without a doubt a nice hotel, but for their prestige and the price I would have expected a bit more from them .…
I had such a pleasant stay between 21th and 25th of January 2023 in this hotel. Every thing was perfect. But if you're interested in shopping from the center of Milan you may pay a lot on Uber 😂 you can walk for approximately 30 minutes from the hotel till the center.
Probably the best hotel we’ve stayed in Milano!!! Great service that made you welcome and was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very well furnished with great beds and a good TV. Viu even has an acceptable gym (for a hotel ) with brand new Techogym equipment and weights up to 22 kg. Breakfast could be taken a la carte and that really suited us. Location is very near China town but the city Center can be reached easily. Parking is right under the hotel and the spaces are very spacious (rare enough to be mentioned).
This hotel is not just a hotel, it is like a resort. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The room was so comfortable with an oversized sofa couch and bathroom. The amenities were perfect; everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Unfortunately, its location is not great. It's a reasonable distance to the center and the area is questionable at night. We didn't feel completely safe walking around there after dark. Overall it's pretty pricey but we enjoyed staying there.
A very clean hotel run by courteous and helpful staff. I won’t mention names of staff as I feel it doesn’t do justice to the ones behind the scenes To Massimiliano and your staff a big thank you and would definitely stay again
Apart from its design and aesthetics, what makes Hotel Viu stand out is it’s staff. They were all very welcoming and attentive. In particular, Matilda at the front desk, who brightened our experience with professionalism and grace. Thank you for making us feel so welcome during our stay in Milan.
Great hotel and location is a nice walk to the downtown area/ shops. Savo at the concierge desk is THE BEST!! Great personality and he has amazing recommendations- he surely knows his town! If ever again in Milan, will stay here for sure!
We travelled here on an August weekend with our two small children. Due to the early flight from London we reached the hotel at about 10 am. The staff from the door to the reception were incredibly welcoming and kind to us and our children. We booked a family room and were told it was already ready. Anyone travelling with small children would appreciate how wonderful that was as we were able to put all our luggage away and settle in. When we got to the room, we realised the family room is actually two hotel rooms that have an interconnecting door. This worked well for us as it gave us plenty of room as well as two bathrooms. It felt luxurious and spacious. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well thought out. The location of the hotel is in Milan's Chinatown. This was about 10-15 minutes taxi drive to most of the sightseeing and restaurants we went to. We also spent an evening at a restaurant in Chinatown and it had a wonderful vibe with people eating and drinking out on the streets. We initially booked this hotel due to the rooftop pool. Although, the rooftop had gorgeous views and a lovely bar, it was also very child friendly and the staff were so accommodating. We spent our afternoon here, with our children taking a dip and enjoying relaxing. The bartender, STEFAN makes amazing cocktails and also makes creations off the menu for you. We were impressed with his knowledge and skills. Our room came with breakfast. There is a selection of pastries, cereals, fruit and cake to choose from. You can also order a cooked breakfast from the menu. We loved breakfast time here, as it is served on the rooftop and you get to enjoy the beautiful views and all the delicious food. The staff, PIETRO, WIAM, GIANLUCA and SELESTE are a super team and made breakfast time very enjoyable for us. The Concierge was so lovey as well and very helpful and knowledgeable. She was so great with the kids as well and she gave us lots of tips and ideas. We loved our mini break and have already begun planning a return trip next year. You will not be disappointed if you book this hotel with its fabulous amenities and staff. Top tip: Book Breakfast as it is a really lovely experience. …
