We spent a couple of days in Stresa and had very comfortable rooms in this hotel. The owners were friendly and really helpful - not only for local information, but they also went out of their way to find out about left luggage at Milano Centrale station (I've been caught out by trenitalia giving incorrect information on their website before)...

This is not the poshest hotel I've ever stayed in but it is the most welcoming. From the moment we arrived, Gianni and Mari couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. From suggesting and booking restaurants to recommendations for outings, they greatly enhanced our holiday. Bedrooms are quite spacious, clean and comfortable. Wifi can be a bit hit and miss...

This is quite an old-fashioned hotel, but the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. If you want modern luxury and lake views you would have to pay the earth to stay at one of the giants. This is a much better option. Tucked away in a side street, it is well located for all that Stresa has (it isn't a...

We stayed one night here to visit Stresa and Isola Bella, and to pick up rental car. The hotel is conveniently located in the town center near shops, restaurants and the boat piers Our room was small and had no AC but filled basic needs. There was some street noise below at times but didn't bother us when we slept....

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Saini for three nights last week, at the beginning of September 2015. What a gem! It is a 14 room hotel that was bought and renovated by Gianni Saini twelve years ago. We had asked for a quiet room with a queen bed and were very pleasantly surprised that we were given...

We visited Lake Maggiore during a 3-week trip to the UK, France and Italy. During this time we stayed at many grand 5-star hotels, but it was our stay at Hotel Saini which was the definite highlight of our holiday. The location of the hotel is excellent - right in the centre of the town and a very short walk...

Having read through countless great reviews and a couple of nasty ones, I'm glad we chose to stay at Hotel Saini. Mr Saini was an incredible host. He truly went above and beyond ensuring our stay was enjoyable - booked tours, made dinner reservations and even made us breakfast when we oversleptj that one morning. He was full of energy...

Stayed here a few months ago, it was the last part of my 3 week trip which I stayed for 1 night. I had read the reviews and thought for a minute I was at the wrong place this place is not even a one star it smells like mold, the pillows smelled of sweat and the owner was "freaky...

This hotel was recommended by Rick Steves and it really is a lovely hotel. It is just a few minutes walk from the ferry in one direction and to several restaurants on a town square in the other. The room I had was large, bright and very quiet and the bathroom was updated and very clean. The only disappointment was...

We spent two nights in Stresa and were very happy with the hotel. Mr. Saini went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. He even called the restaurant where we were dining and offered to walk an umbrella to us on a rainy evening. He provided great recommendations for restaurants and gave advice on boats, tours and...
