This is our 3rd time at the Regina Palace and what a huge disappointment. Hotel location is great, gardens lovely but decor and building need refurbishment. Tinned fruit for breakfast - not what we have had before and not in a 4* Hotel - tried the bacon and scrambled eggs and bacon always cold even though in a container.Evening food was... More

We stayed here only one night to visit the Isola Bela garden and it was a pefect place.....right on the lakeside, quietly opulent with great service. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was first class- we ate on the terrace with lovely gardens and the lake and mountains as a backdrop, what more could you ask for?.... More

It could have been a luxury place years ago, but management should pay attention again to the basics if they do not want to see their place in trouble. My room floor hasn't seen a cleaning brush during the 3 nights I stayed there! And I noticed it because of the some dust and other small items on the floor... More

Six nights with friends, stunning views from our room (421), tiny balcony with two chairs, comfy beds with good linen, large bathroom with separate show. Reception staff very helpful. Fabulously over the top style of hotel, beautiful gardens with lovely pool area which was never crowded. Location was perfect as very close to the old quaint town and the boats... More

The hotel was of a very grand appearance, reminiscent of bygone days with impressive decor using regal colours. Generous size bedroom with a large bathroom. The bathroom although dated and the shower not particularly powerful was very clean and airy. Wifi not good reception. Breakfast eaten on the terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens with views of the lake in the... More

We had 10 nights here towards the end of June booked through Inghams - so not part of a tour group who probably tend to be on average 60%+ of the clientele. In some ways this hotel is quite difficult to fairly evaluate but quite simply I do not subscribe to some of the euphoric reviews posted. For me, a... More

We recently spent 3 nights at The Regina Palace and had a great stay. From the moment you walk into this magnificent hotel you are immediately put back to the early 1900s. The decor and furnishings of the lobby are breathtaking. There are two tiny elevator lifts in the lobby but there is a single much bigger one to the... More

Easy to see that this was a palace, the fittings and decor have the appearance of a palace. The large restaurant was once upon a time the ballroom. The rooms are spacious and we were lucky to have a room facing the front which has a beautiful view of the lake. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly.The... More

We stayed 4 nights at this classic hotel. Location is fantastic. We booked a room facing the lake. And what a view it was, simply breathtaking! However, the hotel itself was nothing but average. Staff was helpful, hotel was clean, but the real estate itself is in urgent need of an extensive refit. Age is showing, and it´s showing bad.... More
