We stayed at the Regina Palace for a conference for a total of 7 nights. We had a room on the second floor, center with one of the mentioned minuscule balconies (if you want to have a huge balcony with lounge chairs, you must book the rooms on the first floor of the hotel - 110/112/114) they are exactly above... Whilst the room was big, the service seemed a bit rough, the rooms had seen better days and it felt like they cater for big conference groups. Didn't get a chance to check out the pool, hopefully that had more redeeming features.

We stayed at the Regina Palace for 5 very enjoyable nights, in a room on the 3rd floor with a view across the Lake. We found the housekeeping service extremely efficient, each day our room was cleaned and linen changed while we were at breakfast. The wait staff at breakfast were friendly and efficient - despite almost overwhelming numbers of... More

We travelled as 3 friends and booked a triple room. We ended up with a double room with a camp bed added (which I slept on and found very comfortable!) which amused us! The room was quite spacious though and had a great view across the lake. It was advertised as having a balcony which also amused us as you... More

This building can't fail to impress, The Hotel really is palatial, with the marble floors, beautiful ceilings and well dressed staff. However there were a few little things that collectively spoil the surroundings. For example they have twin beds instead of Doubles, the room keys failed to work for me every day, there could also be a decent concierge desk... More

PROs: Hotel is an old villa/palace. Rooms are very clean, and mine had a small balcony with a beautiful lake view. That was the great part. I would have given the place 5 stars. CONS: Unfortunately, the staff is not very helpful, some were even rude. Arrived at 11:30 am, but I was refused check-in because rooms are not available... More

This is what one would call a GRAND old Lady! Stunning Hotel with fabulous views over the lake and the Islands. Large and well appointed rooms, great breakfast, one of the best ever! Simply stylish from a-z. Even the Underground parking was included in the Price. To my mind the only choice in Stresa.

Just returned from a week at this wonderful hotel through Riveria Travel. We booked a lake view room and it was certainly worth it. The hotel itself is really knows how to treat their guests - nothing is too much trouble. It was like walking back in time, in a good way. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels... More

The Grand Regina Palace is aptly named, as it is very grand indeed. From the moment you step into the beautiful reception area, the atmosphere is luxurious - in the most old fashioned way, with delightful Murano glass chandeliers, and antique looking furniture. If you are looking for uber modern, don't come here. If you are looking for a relaxing,... More

We had admired the interior and exterior of this hotel last year when staying at the nearby La Palma and were looking forward to our 2 night stay. We were upgraded to a sea view room as celebrating a special anniversary. As others have said, there was room for 2 folding chairs on the balcony and nil else. There's no... More
