A most impressive hotel, with great attention to detail. Beautiful architecture and fascinating decorations. Each corridor on each of the 5 levels has a different theme and all were designed to show works of art from Italy. Very ornate. We were upgraded to a lake view on the fifth floor with a balcony which was a nice touch. The room...

We have tried some services of the hotel, without staying the night, and were pleased. The premises, and also the outside facade, are like from a fairy tale. Courteous staff, and elegant clientele, this hotel is truly a gem on the lakefront. The golde and marble corridor, furniture and decor speak of classique luxury. Very good bar at the lobby...

Lakefront location, walking distance to the Piazza where restaurants and shops are located. The hotel definitely lives up to its name. The breakfast was wonderful and included smoked salmon and pro secco. The staff working the front desk looks after your every need. It has been truly a wonderful experience.

Love this hotel. Great position opposite lake Maggiore and Borromean Islands. Breakfast is wonderful and there are tables outside in fine weather. Staff are courteous and efficient and one feels like a millionaire staying here. Walking distance to small village with family restaurants. Rooms are handsomely decorated. WiFi is most efficient in lobby we found. Could not recommend more highly.

This was a surprise on our itinerary from my wife. She asked me not to look up what and where it was. It does not disappoint. The concierge desk and friendly multi-lingual staff made checking in and the routine of the hotel easy and comfortable. After 30+ hours on the go from NZ that is what you want. So we...

Beautiful hotel and if you have a lake view room like we did you're almost in Heaven. Rooms had a terrace and are very good size. Although the photographs on the site do not reflect this , the rooms have new carpets and upholstery with beautiful paintings and antique furniture. The Lobby is grand and takes you back in time...

Took a small group to Stresa in October. Although higher priced then other hotels, the experience did not disappoint. Grand and opulent Italian historic palace décor. Rooms were very nice, spa is world renowned and offers wide variety of treatments and even quick hair styling. Lobby bar and patios overlook lake. Easy 10 minute walk to town on path down...
