On arrival we had to abandon our car in the road then as no one was at reception we had to wait until someone came back as the doors were locked and we could only stare through the glass door at the telephone with the 'call 9 for service' option. Our room was basic and clean and

Hostage with open doors On the arrival everybody ring the bell and we open the gate, later you can use your keycard to open it. About your check out day I think the real problem was that you booked a taxi at 6.00am for airport and the night porter saw it leaving at that time thinking you were inside; instead you were ready to leave at about 11.00am but check out time limit is at 10.30 so the keycard was automatically resetted. Although the location of this hotel is good, the hotel itself is awful. Very tired decor and furnishings, very dark and dingy and the dullest I've been in. Finding someone's dirty underwear in a drawer not impressive. So bad in fact, we booked out early. Food not good, staff

Very unsatisfactory. You have to deal with the staff in Hotel La Paul at all times when staying in Smeraldo. Food awful, do not book in half board as one piece of fish with lemon slice is not adequate dinner. Despite my request to speak to manager after 1st night of stay

Dear Mrs., about dinner it's explained on our website we offer halfboard at a conventioned price of €20 (adults) for a 3 course menu with vegetable buffet; if you prefer a sumptuous dinner it's better you go in the old town's restaurant (at different price, sure and you can't bring with you water bottle as you did in our restaurant). No receptionist remebers your request of speaking with me; coffee is replaced in rooms everyday (we don't leave milk, but it's enough to ask for it) and about ants your room was full of food everywhere and this is a good lure for ants. Breakfast is a self service and products are about all home made with sweet and some salt option. Key didn't work just one time and replaced in 10 minutes.

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 1 year old and we loved it. The pictures do not do the view justice. It is beautiful! We were lucky to have a ground floor room with a little patio which was perfect for us with a baby. The rooms are basic but the location and view of the

Stayed here on recent trip to Sirmione with my family (2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant) to attend a wedding. Location is fantastic - outside the city walls about 10 minute walk to castle and main tourist area, bus also available outside the door. 10 minute walk in other
