I booked this hotel at booking.com. It was prepaid and I was sure that everything will be ok. However a day before my arrival booking.com informed me that the booking was cancelled due to some "technical reasons" as they said. It was quite strange because the room was still listed as available at booking.com. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone...

We stayed for 2 nights bed & breakfast. Our room on the fourth floor was very clean and tidy with a king-size bed but we were disappointed to find that there was no separate shower in the bathroom, only a hand held shower over the bath. The restaurant was not open during our stay so we ate dinner at O...

We stayed here for 2 nights for my wife's birthday, 10 years since we did the same. Fortunately, it hasn't changed at all! This is a good thing. The copper pan decor in the restaurant is amazing, I'm just glad I don't have to keep it clean! Great location but poor room view from the side. Very clean and a...

The Citta Alta is olde world and likewise is the Golden Lamb. That isn't necessarily a bad thing if you don't mind a smallish room, very clean but a little thin on the amenities. We were on the second floor toward the front. We forgot we were in a real downtown area until about 6:30 am when the crashing outside...

Stayed for two nights at this family run hotel and it was fabulous! Attentive and obliging staff, spotlessly clean, very comfortable. It is traditional old-style Italy, so not for those that are into ultra modern facilities. Excellent location for old town- a perfect base for a weekend/mid week break. Magnifico!

Right in the middle of the old Town, 2 minutes to the funicular to the new town, 1 minute to the tourist office, this old style hotel couldn't be better placed. It's a bit old fashioned, the rooms are small and dated but clean. We had a room at the back which was relatively quiet. It would have been much...

We spent five nights at this lovely charming hotel. Although rated two star it definitely deserves at least three stars as the location and service are excellent. Rooms are basic but modern and comfortable with flat screen tvs and free wifi (no fridge or air conditioning although the latter was not necessary in mid-September).We had two rooms, a rather spacious...

On a positive note the hotel is very centrally located in the heart of the old town and looks attractive from the outside. I was disappointed with the room. It was very small, in the bathroom the grout between the tiles is brown and aged, it was hot ( no air condition, but it did have a fan), and very...

The Agnello d'Oro is one of the few hotels in Bergamo's charming and largely car-free upper town. It's very close to the central Piazza Vecchia with its good cafes and restaurants and adjacent magnificent churches, and about 20 mins walk downhill to the city's other great attraction, the Accademia Carrara, full of great art especially from the Renaissance. The hotel...

Very close to the historic center, good breakfast, the room is clean, the bed wasn't so comfortable but wasn't a big problem and there was just a bathtub and no shower. The staff is very kind. I'd recommend this place.
