Stayed for 2 nights in early March. Lovely slightly quirky hotel situated in the centre of Citta Alta. Spacious room with very comfy bed. Staff friendly & helpful, breakfast good quality. Would recommend for a short break in Bergamo.

Pros Modern and stylish hotel in the centre of Cita Alta. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very clean. Close to many great restaurants. Cons Satelite TV had somewhat limited choice of English channels. Most of them required additional payments. Also not very easy to find your way in it. Close to the main square means the church bells every hour!

This hotel is in an excellent location. A very short walk to Piazza Vecchia and right next to a lovely park. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They all speak perfect English. The breakfast is just right. We stayed in Room 5 on the second floor. It had 3 large windows. 2 overlooking the main street and 1 overlooking...

Cool, different and modern design and very nice and service minded people both at the reception and in the breakfast room. Centrally placed in the old part of town with walking distance to "everything". Good breakfast. I really recommend this hotel

A small, but very high-quality boutique hotel, located right in the old town. The hotel is modern, stylish and elegant. Very clean and well-maintained. Great staff, who are helpful and friendly. Difficult to find fault. Extremely enjoyable stay. Would absolutely recommend.

If you are looking for the perfect blend of old and new in Citta Alta, then look no further. Unlike so many ‘designer-dream’ hotels (such as the Original Hotel in Paris), this one combines a beautiful ambience with down-to-earth comfort and practicality. This, combined with the excellent location, the charming English-speaking staff and a good (by Italian standards) breakfast, makes...

This small boutique-style hotel (13 rooms I believe) is well located in the centre of Bergamo Alta. The interior décor is contemporary making good use of the building structure, whilst the exterior looks historic. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast was good and, for the those that use it, the mini-bar was well...

This is a 12th century tower and the hotel takes up the first few floors. It is very arty and boutique and the room was lovely and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was in a little room on the first floor and is the usual continental choice but everything was fresh - lovely pastries! Staff were very friendly and helpful and are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Thought of for those who seek a hotel as an artistic fascination, GombitHotel is the first design hotel within the ancient walls that surround Bergamo Alta, the ancient borough of Bergamo. Next to the Torre del Gombito, a thirteenth century stone tower, between being a collection of art and a workshop, the hotel is a great experimental laboratory and gallery where young artists work together to keep the interiors alive. A place for dreamers, created by dreamers. ... more   less
