Located on the Ventimiglia seafront this small hotel is fun and well appointed. Staff are very friendly and rooms are comfortable and clean. We booked at the last minute and the gentleman at reception could not have been more pleasant.

The hotel is located right next to the beach and is about 1/1.5 km (about 1 mile) away from the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean although slightly dated. The wifi worked probably (this can be an problem with many hotels in Italy and I have no complaint with how the wifi worked in this hotel), the breakfast is €5 (I did not have breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment on it) and they have a reasonably priced bar. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning on staying in Ventimiglia or visiting France as you can catch a train from Ventimiglia station to France.

This hotel does not look like much from the outside, but the rooms were perfect for our one night stay. We travelled from France to Italy by train and needed a place close to the Ventimiglia train station. The location is perfect for that and those wanting a beach location. It's an old fashion, family run hotel, with great service.
We rented two rooms, a 1 bedroom suite and it slept 4 people and a 1 bedroom that slept 3.
For the sleeps 4 room; the main bedroom had a king size bed and the outside "living room" had two twin beds and a basic round table, with chairs. There was a kitchenette that was attached, but closed as we did not "rent it". Although the fridge was open for us to use. The bathroom was very large as well. Only concern was that towel were very small and thin. If you want to go to the beach, remember to bring your own beach towels.
The furniture is very basic, but everything you need is there for a comfortable night stay. Our suite was on the ground level and had a nice patio.
Breakfast was basic, with great coffee and only $5 a person.

For our stay in August we made reservations in May when we were told we could have one of the 4-bed suite with sea view. They even showed us the room. We had a confirmation for our stay of 6 nights and made an advanced downpayment for the amount of 2 nights. So at our arrival in August we were pretty much surprised to get a room in the back of the hotel without a view and were told that the premises were occupied and no change possible. There was no apology and no discount for a far inferior lower quality room. The hot water when taking a shower lasted just for 2 of us but was not sufficient for a 4 bed suite. In Ventimiglia there are other hotels very close to the beach and since there is no guaranty you will get the room you reserved and hotel staff is not really interested to serve the client we think a different hotel is the better choice.

just had 2 weeks at the Hotel Kali in Ventimiglia.it is a family owned and run hotel and they are all so friendly and helpful.the hotel has a beautiful outlook just a street between you and the Mediterranean.aspecial thanks to Donnatella,,her parents and Riccardo for making our stay so memorable.the rooms are big enough,spotless and the continental breakfast is adequate.we are already contemplating going there again next year

Clean hotel opposite beach. Only stayed one night..... breakfast extra 5euros with not as much choice as other hotels we stayed in but still ok. Owner very helpful. Would stay again due to great location.

Very comfortable, clean - great a/c. Friendly, helpful management all of whom speak English. Nice breakfast at a good price. Super location - right across the street from a wonderful beach with chairs and umbrellas for rent with a hotel discount. Comfy beds. Good internet. Elevator! We had a nice room with a balcony facing the sea. No problem with street noise.

It's very comfortable and cosy place to stay in this area. Rooms are modern enough and have sufficient space not to fill yourself straitened. The room with two bedrooms has also two mini-fridges and TVs. There are options in the ground floor with it's own patio. Free wifi in the rooms.
Friendly and very helpful staff. The breakfasts are for only 5 euros daily. You can find there ham, boiled eggs, fresh bakery, yogurts, some fruits, tea and coffee.
The most important thing is that a beach close to hotel isn't overloaded as compared to other parts of village. There is a quite large supermarket nearby. The Ventimiglia train station is in 20 minutes on foot, making possible to reach the hotel from the Cote d'Azur airport in Nice without the help of taxis. It's not very easy to park a car nearby, the private hotel parking seems to be small and I suggest asking about it in advance.

We had been to the Kaly once before many years ago when we were passing through on our way further into Italy. We always remembered it and when the opportunity arose to explore this part of Italy a bit more, we decided to go back. We were there for ten nights and had the second floor suite (Room 211) which has a large bedroom and a smaller living toom with a sofabed, a table and chairs and - crucially - a fridge. But the glory of the suite is its large balcony overlooking the beach. We alternated our days, exploring one day and resting and reading the next. The Kaly was ideal for this. Breakfast is excellent value at only 5 euros each but with a good buffet selection and a coffee machine which some people used themselves - but we were grateful to be served by the very friendly staff! The suite was very comfortable with a good air-conditioning system (which we needed as the temperature rarely dropped below 30C during the day and was in the high 20s during the night. The system was a little noisy but we get used to it and it didn't disturb our sleep. The modern bathroom was excellent with a large shower and a bidet as well as sink and toilet - and everything worked well. There is a supermarket just round the corner and we were able to buy salad and cold meats and the like as well as cold drinks to put in the fridge which meant we did not have to eat out at every meal. There is a good restaurant next door - the Amadora - which we would recommend - but there are also lots of other places to eat not far away. The Kaly is good value at 135 euros per night for the suite - you would pay a lot more in some places in a situation like this. Complaints? Well only one and it is nothing the hotel can do anything about. The bar next door - the Mad Men - has a disco/live music on a Sunday evening. It was very loud and went on to just after midnight and it meant we could not use the balcony on the two Sunday nights we were there. The rest of the week, the bar was no problem. But this is a minor matter in what was a most enjoyable stay in Ventimiglia. Thank you to all the staff who made the stay so special.

It's a very good place. Perfect location, quiet but only 5 min walk from center of town. Front line, just across the beaches. All staff very friendly. Breakfast very generous for small money that they ask. They also give you sunbeds and umbrellas for free. Reserved parking lot fro guests. The only disappointment was Internet; it was more or less bearable at reception area but in rooms we had little luck.
