Great view of the harbor and sea. Close to the center of town. Train station. Easy 10 minute walk. Bus stop to Portofino close by. Comfortable room - good shower - strong WiFi - friendly, helpful staff.
What impress me a lot is the view. Our window at the 3th floor was right in front of the port. The Hotel is ok. There’s a small pool at the roof floor (4th) with a little bar. Small gym area at the ground floor as well. Good breakfast.
Stayed here in October after the summer rush. Overall it was a perfect home base to explore the area. I walked to Portifino and took the ferry back and the dock was just down the street. Very easy walk from the train station (I only had a backpack).
I was upgraded which was a really pleasant surprise. The balconies were all super private thanks to hedges in between each. I loved the view and enjoyed sitting out at the little table on the balcony in the evening. The pool area on the third floor was also great and got sun well into the early evening.
Overall the service was very helpful and friendly and spoke English. My only hesitation was that the night desk guy was a little creepy as a solo female traveler. I chose to chalk it up to second language issues (i.e. I think “I watched you earlier” meant “I saw you earlier”, etc.).
Overall I liked the property and would come back if ever in the area just to have the balcony and location.
We had stayed al the Laurin al Bolzano, and this one was less than what we had expected. The room services were very good, breakfast was just good can be improved. The room had a seaview facing a marina.Located in Sta Margherita downtown, close to the public beaches
From the moment we walked into Hotel Lauren late at night we had excellent customer service. They are professional yet warm, caring, very helpful and have great follow through. Most of all they proved themselves to have the utmost integrity. After checking out and arriving in Venice many hours later I found my wallet was missing. I did not expect to ever see my wallet again, and I thoroughly expected the cash to be gone. I called the hotel thinking it was a long shot, but had no other place to turn. They reassured me that the wallet was locked up in their possession with cards and cash inside. Our honest taxi driver that took us from the hotel to the train station found my wallet that must have fallen out of my purse. He turned it in to the hotel. In Italy it is illegal to send cash in the mail. The hotel worked diligently with me to mail my wallet with cards intact and wired the cash to my account. Kudos to them all! Additionally the hotel is in the perfect central location with an exceptional view. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Overall, it was a very memorable stay.
