I stayed here for 4 days and this Hotel was so conveniently close to the train station - I was a solo traveller but never felt uncomfortable with the location - close to the train station and the Centre of town. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable with double glazed windows to keep out...

The personal is friendly and understands english. Rooms are clean, but the furniture is old. There is no bathtub, only a tiny shower. There is no parking next to the hotel, only street parking is available. The guy at the reception has shown me the free parking area 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel, but there are only about...

When you read a review that says that only stay here if it is the last place available (and has soggy cornflakes) you wonder what you are booking. However my experience was far, far better. Yes it is basic: a small til- floored room. But it was clean the bed comfortable (I like a firm bed and it was long...

I stayed at Hotel Mary for 3 days/2 nights in November 2009. I had read the previous reviews so I had a pretty good idea what to expect: a basic room and nothing more. That's pretty much what I got. The room was very large, although the shower was TINY. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The...

We only spent one night in Hotel Mary. It was convenient to the train station, right acroos the street. The rooms were functional and clean. The neighborhood was a little "seedy" and no charm but it is easy to reach the Cinque Terre by train from here. All in all it was a very touristy part of our trip.

Location is good for the train station, however arriving there in the evening, it may make you feel uncomfortable if travelling alone. We had little or no interaction with the member of staff at reception other than handing over a credit card to pay for the room before we had even seen the room! Breakfast - there was plenty, as...

The hotel itself was ok, the area around the train station was a little uncomfortable for a solo female traveler. The front desk staff was fairly friendly, two of them spoke a small amount of english. The room was clean. The hotel is quite literaly across the street from the train station, the window in my room was looking straight...

The location of this hotel is good, a few minutes walk to the main railway station. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to the port, where you can catch a boat to visit the Cinque Terre. If you want to spend time in a hotel, I wouldn’t suggest this one. Rooms are basic, but clean and of a relatively...

We stayed two nights at Mary in La Spezia. The hotel staff are so friendly and the location is great - 2 mins walk from the train station, so it is a great base to Cinque Terre. However, for the price we paid, thought it was pretty average. The breakfast was simple and included. Thought the hotel was pretty run...

Stayed here for 2 days with the purpose of visiting Cinque Terra. The hotel is close to the train station and I would not mind staying in La Spezia again for a Cinque Terra visit, however it will most likely not be at this hotel. If you are carrying a lot of luggage there are 2 ways to get to...
