This is a great place to stay in La Spezia, whether your trip takes you to Cinque Terre or passing through on your way to Tuscany. Located centrally, both the train station and CT docks are a short walk. Restaurants, shops and the market are all close by and there is an excellent gelato shop across the street. The rooms... We (a family of five) stayed here for 2 nights in July, as a base from which to visit the cinque terre. It was good for that purpose - the bus leaves from right outside or the ferry is about 10 minutes walk away. There are five very modern rooms in a converted old building and it has been very nicely... We stayed two nights and everything was good. Our host was friendly and advised some good restaurants, room was clean and spacious and getting around the area was simple enough. Internet worked well. The breakfast is VERY simple: coffee and a pastry of choice in a nearby cafe, but it was enough for us.

I stayed in the apartment down the street from the main one on the square and found it to be a very clean, modern, well presented studio apartment only 5 minutes walk to everything but out of the busy parts of town. Patrizia was patient and friendly and gave me some recommendations around town. The wifi didn't always reach the... More

The place is new (despite of old building), clean, modern and cool. The owners are super nice people, and we got above expected. There is no service, but that's a B&B about! It's a 5 minute walk from train station, where you can reach 5 Terre easily.

This was the most stressful place during our entire 2-week trip to Italy. Key issues: 1. At the end of our first day out we came back to find the door to our room UNLOCKED. Someone had come into our room without us being notified, left the keys there, lights on and the door open. We were extremely frightened and... More

I stayed here for two nights and have very mixed feelings about the place. The building is right on the square and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there lots of groups of guys just hanging around, so it was a bit disconcerting to start with and I was having trouble actually locating which building it was in (the... “As long as all you need is a place to sleep this is OK. But if you think you'd like to step out for dinner or feel the warm Italian vibe this is not the city or place to stay.”
