Upon entering Italy I had to quarantine in this hotel for a couple days until I got my negative covid test completed and was able to move on. The staff was very attentive to my situation and even when out to purchase me lunch locally and added it to my bill, and ensured that I had everything I needed. Very professional. Also, when I left the hotel, I accidentally forgot my folder with some documents. The hotel staff tracked me down and offered to scan and email me the documents, which really amazed me at how far they go to ensure guests are taken care of. The restaurant was pretty good too, but I will always stay here in the future because when traveling internationally, its really nice to have someone you can count on as a home base. I'm grateful I stayed here.

We were put in this hotel because our choice became unavailable. The hotel was trading at £230 a night at the time of booking. Definitely not worth the money. Rooms and bathroom are very dated and there's no sound proof - you can hear everything that goes on outside the door. We had a room overlooking the port which had a lovely view. Hotel's lobby looked like some sort of empty art gallery - very bland. Reception was only manned by 1 person which is unacceptable in a 4 star hotel when you leave people queueing. Only after the que got bigger and bigger someone else came out. After a long wait I was then told that if I want to store my bags I had to wait again. Again, absolutely unacceptable behavior when you charge people £230 a night. Breakfast was plentiful and very well organised give the covid restrictions.

In this period the most patience and tranquility is required by all of us We are facing a special situation and all the roles in to the hotels changed. We offer a storage complimentary for our guest, normally in a very short time. Sorry if in your case it was longer Breakfast is served with ANTIOX 3.0 line as usual, but in a protected way. All food and beverages are behind a screen glass and can not be managed by customes but only served by a waiter. This is the way we care you Thanks and hope to see you again

We stayed here for 5 nights including breakfast in October 2020. During check in Simona explained us the current Corona rules in Liguria. Wearing a mask was necessary 24/7 in public and the staff took it very serious when I once forgot to but it back on when I got up to get another coffee during breakfast. Disinfectant dispenser are in front of the elevator, inside the elevator, before entering the breakfast room and next to the coffee machine. Breakfast is buffet style but served on a plate. You point out the items you ask for and the staff will place it on a plate for you. Breakfast has a great variety of choices. We are cereal fans and had every day a great choice of yogurt and fruit to go with it. Today they even had roast apple which was great for a cereal bowl. There is no water boiler in the room, I asked for some tea at the front desk and the front desk got me some super quickly. The water in the bathroom on 7th floor took quite a while to heat up, but then worked satisfyingly. The room was clean with sea view to the marina. Great location to explore Cinque Terre and Pisa

I’d been here 48 years earlier with my aunt on a tour of Europe. While I didn’t remember anything at all about the hotel, which was part of the Jolly chain then, or about the town, I did have a photo of the “view from our room” my aunt had noted. We arrived on the day of an important soccer match and the players had requested a very late checkout, so we had to wait somewhat for our room but received cappuccinos for our patience. Paola showed us around and promised to have our luggage moved from the room available to the junior suite we’d booked for our last two nights in La Spezia. Charming and very helpful and informative were Paola, who had also corresponded with me per email in advance of our arrival, Simona, always friendly and good humored, and Claude, who not only had tips about which places to see during our stay in La Spezia but also for our upcoming trip to Florence. Hotel staff was doing its best to accommodate guests during the pandemic. Only with the breakfast buffet were there some problems. We personally would much prefer always ordering a la carte and really enjoyed then a special room service breakfast provided on our last morning. The hotel evidently has two junior suites on the top floor. Ours was spacious with a fantastic view of the harbor with the cruise ships anchored waiting for the pandemic to subside, a view that matched wonderfully the slide my aunt had taken 48 years previously. We won’t be waiting another 48 years to come back to charming La Spezia and when we do we’ll be booking the junior suite on the 8th floor.

We took this hotel for the location but were surprised by the service. Very good location down by the water and excellent service from the staff. Good rooms and ok breakfast. Here we can stay more times. Our dogs were really well received and offered good parking. Surprisingly good hotel and very serviceminded staff. Fun when hotel can surprise in a positive way ..
