We were probably lucky to find a room at the last minute although the price was high; the room was comfotable with shower and WC, TV and air con, but no view; breakfast was good; service was helpful and polite and the hotel and room was clean; there is a small elevator to the 2nd floor hotel, just fits two...

Just booked it because of the price and the location. What a place! The reception from the guy working there (it is to our shame that we forgot his name!) was brilliant with help on directions, rooms, places to eat and most of all answering questions from2 very tired travellers. He made us feel that we were residents there and...

It seems two stars on the paper but it is more than that... It is in the second floor of an old building but recently upgraded rooms with TV, air conditioning, comfortable bed, very nice bath room even with hair dryer... The breakfast is satisfactory for a two star hotel. The most important plus is the smiling and helpful staff......

We booked this hotel because it was late and we didn't have much choices around. But upon arrival (extremely busy piazza) we were warmly greeted by the man in the reception, who helped us with everything we wanted. In general the staff is very good, completely different from this huge hotels well-trained smiles. Room was somewhat basic, but everything was...

Good priced hotel close to Brignole station. Within walking distance of the historic centre of Genova through the very commercial Via XX Settembre. Yet in a residential area with non touristic shops and bars and restaurants. And the scenic Mercato Orientale. The hotel is in the first floor of a dark and somewhat lugubrious building. A very friendly staff and well...

The rooms were very clean. Two brothers are helpful and friendly. The location is good and a very short walk to the Brignole train station. Coffee in the morning was very good and breakfast was adequate. Both brothers were helpful in recommending restaurants and giving directions to the local laundromat.

Many of my kind readers probably begin to wonder why my hotel reviews are quite similar. It simply happens because of my priorities when choosing a place as my home out of home. Top priorities are three, in order of importance. Cleanliness, price and LOCATION. This is why we choose Hotel Ricci. Clean, affordable and ideally located. When you are...

First time staying in Genoa and Hotel Ricci. The hotel lobby is on the second floor and there is a lift. We were met by a very pleasant English speaking young man, Michele, (sorry if we got the spelling wrong). He showed us to our room making sure everything all was right. The clean room was well appointed with a...

This small, family run hotel on Piazza Colombo in Genoa is in a perfect position to discover this calm, friendly and interesting city. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main Brignole railway station and just a short stroll to Via Settembre XX which leads to Piazza de Ferrari which is a great spot to pick up the...
