Why do I stay here? Well here’s why: I have been staying regularly at the Locanda Palazzo Cicala since April 2010. I have stayed for business and with the family every year since then. This is an Apart-Hotel style property close to the old town of Genova (Genoa), the main hotel block has 4 lovely high ceilinged, Italian modern furnished... More

I should have known when my credit card was hacked when I made the booking on their web site that this was not going to end well. So many things, where to I start. *Great location but difficult to find. *Rooms are partly furnished in a lovely manner but then quirky - like mine has a kitchen table. *Towels -... More

Although is in a very good location the rooms are very poor, no curtains, no towels (those are left in the bathroom were pieces of table clothes) no shampoo or bath gel (in my case only two small botles of conditioner!!!) no heat and the radiator was licking on the electical cords of the small refrigerator, in the cupboard only... We got this hotel by chance as we had to be in Genoa for few weeks and we enjoyed it for the whole period!!!!! The hotel was recently renovated, has very big comfortable rooms, high ceilings, centrally located in the old town with easy access to everything, like: Porto Antico, the Aquarium, Ferrari square, XX September st. The hotel is located... More

Google maps is a great way to find this little gem in the heart of Genoa. There is no car park and access is via a pedestrian area. We found parking easily enough a short distance from the hotel. Reception is a small enough area on the 1st floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was at the... More

Nice smaller hotel in an old building in the middle of town. nice rooms with very high ceilings. because of the lack of curtains can be a bit noisy. Good beds and friendly staff. I booked through booking.com and breakfast was not included. breakfast is an extra 10 euro per day.

Following are a number of observations in regard to my recent experience at the Locanda Pallazzo Cicala, at which I was a guest, very briefly, the evening of Friday, October 16, 2015. Arriving by taxi to a pedestrian area of 'Old Town Genoa,' a charming small piazza, the driver pointed to an unmarked door in an old building on a... More

The hotel is in a perfect location for site seeing locally and also the rest of the Liguria region.Just opposite the San Lorenzo cathedral. The hotel has been beautifully restored, with all the existing seventeenth features adding to the charm. The hotel receptionist greeted us warmly upon arrival and advised us on places of interest and recommended resturants locally. All... More

I want to like this hotel and rate it well. I really do. The location opposite the cathedral in the centre of Genoa couldn't be better, and is so convenient. I like the contrast of the modern white minimalist styling with the stucco and shutters of the old palazzo, which I think works well. The bed was a little firm... More
