We stayed here for 4 nights and it was perfect. So convenient for the station and great breakfasts. Very clean and friendly. The hotel restaurants were lovely and the breakfast terrace amazing. We had a lovely complimentary spa which was a real treat.

A lovely old lady with great bones in a good location, in need of a little makeover, but as good as it gets in Genoa. Rooms are a little dated, and could do with refurbishment, however it has a fabulous spa, with great facilities. Located next to main station.

Excellent hotel. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms, good breakfasts. Two swimming pools with sea water. Near the outdoor pool there is a sunbathing area with very comfortable sun loungers. Very good SPA. Everyone is provided with separate towels for the pool.

The Grand Hotel Savoia is a lovely historic property a stone’s throw from Genoa’s Piazza Principe Station, a short walk from most of the main sights of the city and right by shops and restaurants. The room we were given had good air conditioning, a strong Wi-Fi, a huge TV with hundreds of Italian and international channels. The bathroom was small but had an excellent shower/bath, albeit with a large step out of it that could be tricky for some people. The room was also provided with free water, a minibar, safe, robe and slippers. The only major annoyance about the room was that there were no drawers or shelves to store anything. There was an open wardrobe with hangers, but other than that nothing, so I had to just keep things in my bag. The bed was very comfortable and there was no issue with noise. The two best things about the hotel were the breakfast, which not only had a wide range of food (pastries, cereal, cheese, fruit, cold meat, hot choices etc.), excellent service but also a fantastic view across the whole of Genoa from the outside terrace. Sdaly we didn’t have this view from our room, just a courtyard. The second excellent thing was that you can borrow a mobile Wi-Fi router from Reception at no extra cost which is a genius idea and one I haven’t come across before. All hotels should follow it. It means that you don’t have to constantly look for networks as you explore or worry about signal coverage or roaming charges. It made our stay even more leisurely and enjoyable. Mi Yang and Giacomo in Reception are very good (they explained about the city, about how the rourter worked etc.) but the other reception staff although keen to help and pleasant don’t explain things to any great extent or anticipate what the client wants. Any example of this is when we checked in we went up to the room to find housekeeping in the room, despite it being comfortably past check in time. My wife returned to Reception to let them know we couldn’t access the room to see if we should wait or if they would allocate us another room, instead they insisted the room was ready, despite all evidence to the contrary. The housekeeping was good, although for some reason a cage of sheets was left in our corridor during our stay rather than the housekeeping cupboard. Overall, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the router and view alone made it worth staying.

Spent a night here in August 2022 with my family. We had two rooms on the 3rd floor. The rooms are very charming and the beds extremely comfortable. The rooms have 100-year-old furniture mixed in with modern amenities. Very charming. This building has been a hotel for over 100 years. They did a good job keeping some of the old charm (amazing bathtub and sink in the room) but added new amenities like a well-appointed bathroom with an incredible shower. To top things up, the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Do not miss the breakfast on the top floor with a killer view. We just spent 20 days in five-star hotels all over Europe and this was our favorite.

Not sure if it was the time of the year (August), our late booking or Genoa in general, but we found the hotels in this city VERY expensive. We booked Hotel Continental, but got transferred to Grand Hotel Savoia. The experience was lovely, but still felt way overpriced. Staff upon check-in and check-out was super attentive, our room was big and comfortable, and we enjoyed the robes and slippers provided, as well as the AC! Location is great, and though we did not use it, the hotel has a jacuzzi on the rooftop and an available Spa. I feel for the price paid breakfast could have been included, but it wasn't. Not very relevant, but we were surprised by how long we had to wait for elevators.

I have stayed in many hotels across the world, but the room is this hotel was one of the best. During my short family holiday stay I didn’t have the time to check out the spa and the restaurant for dinner. The top roof breakfast was great, both the food and drinks as well as the view. The hotel is situated very well, center and harbor in walking distance. I have appreciated the valet service.
