Already wanting to book again... Best ocean views I've ever seen and I've been lucky to have seen alot. Basic room but for the money it's amazing. Personally this is a Gem that needs to be known to all
Very nice hotel not luxurious but comfortable, the staff was very friendly and service oriented. Rooms had a good size and the bathroom was clean and with all the ammenities. It is very well located at the beginning of Rionaggiore, the first of the 5 villages. Totally recommend it.
This was a very nice hotel, not luxurious but clean, quiet and well managed. The staff was very helpful. The views from our room were amazing. We stayed here the evening before visiting the Cinque Terre and its just a short drive to Riomaggiore.
Me and my husband spent 5 nights at this hotel. Major plus: the view and the big room terase. Very clean and nice personnal. Breakfast decent but not variate. Minus: far from any city and without a car it is rather difficult to visit Cinque Terre. Luckly we went there by car and beeing far from cities was not a problem.
This advertises Riomaggiore but it is 5 miles south —not near anything. The restaurant at the hotel is not functioning so we had potato chips for dinner. Why not eat in town? Because if you don’t make the 8 pm bus, you have a 3 hour walk on a hilly road to the hotel. We are in room 1 and the owners (or workers?) are in the room above us. So loud! Dragging furniture around. It is almost 11pm and they are crazy loud. Don’t stay here.
Lovely family run hotel very clean rooms, not luxurious but very reasonably priced excellent continental breakfast and the staff were extremely helpful. All of this with the most amazing views from every room across the Mediterranean. Excellent base from which to explore the Cinque Terre out of town and very quiet.
I loved everything about this Hotel, it was out of Town but you could get a shuttle back and forth. The staff was great and the rooms were super clean with a great patio off each room. I would stay here again if I ever got back there but it would be wise to bring mosquito spray as they do get in your room. The view from the balcony was amazing and they do serve breakfast and some food there. Very relaxing place!
The balcony overlooking the sea was the best feature of the room. I loved sitting looking out over the sea, and at night looking at the stars (loads more than I usually see). Breakfast was good value at 5 euros, with good selection of food, couldn’t have wanted anything else. There’s a great restaurant in walking distance for dinner. But Riomaggiore isn’t walkable. And the paths are currently closed from Riomaggiore to Manarola and partway to Corniglia!
I am amazed at the amount of good reviews this hotel accumulated. It is a disgrace. The moment we entered this hotel we noticed the neglect. It looks like a hotel out of the 60's. The youngster at reception was nice enough, but not the best at the business. We later found out the the hotel belongs to his grandfather. The only thing positive is the view. The rest- stay clear. It's a ripoff. Not coffee/tea facility, no vending machine, remember you are far out of town. My daughter's room had no wifi. The food was heated up. Do yourself a favour to avoid this place.
The hotel is a bus drive ( 5 euros) from the town. The bus does not run frequently and not at all after 8 pm. After 8pm we had to take a taxi ( 20 euros 1 way), so to check in, go for dinner and return, we paid extra 30 euros just for that. We got partial view of the sea, but the sunset was pretty. The room itself had very old and worn down furniture, it was the room where smoking was allowed, so it smelled. The bedding was not warm enough for the cold April nights, and the extra blankets were thin, small and damp. We could not get TV or the heater to work. The hotel bar/ restaurant had fantastic view and friendly staff.
