Stayed here for 3 nights and had a room not facing the coastline. I chose this hotel because I wanted a place with parking, and the other 3-starred hotels were already at capacity. We were not disappointed - the room was better than expected, and taking the shuttle to the town (and back) was not bad at all. When there were more riders than could be accommodated in the van, the hotel requested another van or the drivers made additional trips. Breakfast was fine and the staff was friendly. We noticed all of the guests were adults (probably because school just started in Italy). The "hill" down to the town is steep, not well lit, and not very wide. I would suggest taking the shuttle unless you don't mind potentially being hit by a car. The shuttles run once an hour for the most…
I picked this Hotel for the view it promised. And a view is what you get. I could open the curtain in the morning and form my bed see the whole bay or at Nigth the stars in the sky and all the other villages up to the lighthouse. The hotel is clean and everybody is very friendly and helpful. You can see the Hotels from many miles away if i.e. you are on a boat. Alas with the view comes the climb. A bus is provided to take you up and down regularly so prepare for a little wait and a steep drive or climb and make it part of the adventure. You will remember the view.
Very inconveniently located. 15 mins away from town up a steep, poorly (not) lit hill. No water. At least give people water. Driver of shuttles seemed dangerous - not paying attention, drunk?? Room was fine, basic. Overall not a good experience.
If you plan to visit the cinque terre, if you look to have a breath taking view of the bay, the hotel Suisse bellevue is a great place to stay. The renovated rooms are beautifull, clean, well furnished....It is located a bit outside of the village (Not easy to find the first time) but everything is made that once you park your car, you have a bus at your disposal making your life easy and enjoy this oustanding region. Salute
This hotel is up on a hill with tremendous views of the Sea and Cliffs. Monterosso, the town at the bottom of the hill, is in my opinion the best of the five towns for a family with a good beach, promenade and restaurants. It is also a good hub from which to explore the towns and treks. As for the hotel itself, it's very neat and tidy with super friendly staff who went the extra mile and laid out a breakfast tray for our kids when they didn't make it to breakfast. The breakfast is mostly 'continental' but very good and the kids loved the hot chocolate. The only 'hassle' is that you either have to walk down a steep hill (15 mins) or take the shuttle into town. I never tried walking up the hill in the evening (limited lighting and not advisable after a few vinos !). Also, the…
