This hotel was in a fairly convenient and charming location in Monterosso. The accommodations were somewhat basic, but the rooms were pristine and well-maintained. A standout was the daily breakfast, which was tasty and well-stocked. The front desk will happily provide you with tap or sparkling water upon request. The hotel is a 7-10 minute walk up a slight incline from the rail station and a 5-7 minute walk to the nearby beaches.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, I found it punches above its weight with its friendly staff and great location. Breakfast was fine a you can sit inside or out to eat it ,the free beach towels are a god send and are a nice touch. The wifi can be a little sketchy and the only other complaint was the constant flicking halfway lights that shine under the rather large gap in the hotel door.

This hotel is located in a fantastic location in the old part of Monterosso ( the best part ) only a few minutes away from great beach and so many nice restaurants and other places. Our bedroom was basic but really clean and functional. Having worked in hospitality for so many years I can honestly say that The staff is what makes this place wonderful. They are all very happy to help you with everything. They are all smiley and very professional. The one that stands out from this great team is Roberto ( the guy that does breakfast ) . Roberto is a gem and so professional and always smiley, nothing is too much trouble and it’s a joy to see him working around the breakfast room, Roberto is what hospitality it’s all about. However this team is a great asset to this hotel. The breakfast selection it’s amazing Thank you for the great stay and all your help . We will be bk next year Luca & Emma

Located at the back of the old town the location was perfect. A short stroll down the cobble stones to a public beach. The water was amazingly warm. Great selection of restaurants and shops bars in the area. and quieter than you think. Our room was small and had a strange flashing light that went on and off every 10 seconds in the hall outside our room so I had to sleep with a mask on. What the size of room lacked was well and truly made up by the service and wonderful common areas we can all use and enjoy. Breakfast was more than substantial. All staff were lovely and the housekeepers worked very hard.

Nice room, reliable wifi, delicious and abundant breakfast but the best of all is the staff, caring and always ready to help. Sparkling water is free, the beach towels are free, one of the hotels we’ve been in Italy.

Very nice hotel and great location in Monterosso. The staff is very friendly* and the breakfast buffet was very good. Fresh scrambled eggs not the powder eggs you get in the States. I love the lemon tart and sitting outside on a cool morning by the rock arch and beautiful purple flowers. The rooms are well equipped clean and modern though small as typical. * Not quite Hotel California ‘ You can checkout anytime you like but you can never leave.’ We didn’t realize you can’t checkout until 8 AM so when we tried to leave at just before 7 AM to catch a train it cause a stir. A receptionist had to be called in early and though it was mostly our issue she was in no way gracious. There should be more discussion/clarity about checking out the night before for an early departure. Still I loved the place and would consider returning.

My husband and I stayed in a double room which was located the building adjacent to the main building. PROS: * Friendly and accommodating staff * Excellent housekeeping! Super clean! *Great location- Short walk to the water and in the middle of the town near great restaurants. * Nice breakfast room *Nice outside seating area and bar inside. CONS: * Lift was out of order * Lighting in the room could have been better in the bedroom. Rather dim. Bathroom lighting was excellent. * Safe could be updated. Some of the buttons didn’t respond properly.

We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Margherita in Monterosso! The hotel was a short walk from the train station, relatively flat in the Old Town. It was updated and clean. Breakfast was very well attended to by the staff and was plentiful with hot items, fruit, cheese/meats, pastries and cakes, yogurt etc. The staff was so nice and accommodating - Francesca was the best at giving information and helpful tips. Our room had a balcony facing the street which was nice to sit and have a glass of wine at the endo of the day. There is a nice seating area outside and a comfortable spacious lobby with a bar, where guests gathered in the evening. Nice vibe and charming location! You are steps from shops and restaurants; however, street noise was minimal. Great choice for a stay in Monterosso!

I stayed here with friends for 5 days and it far exceeded our expectations. Clean and lovely in the perfect spot in this beautiful town. The lobby was welcoming and the rooms were spacious enough and very clean. The best part of our stay was the staff who were fantastic. Roberto welcomed us to breakfast each morning with a smile and the breakfast was delicious. The desk staff was informative and helpful with a special shout out to Francesca! This is definitely the place to stay in Monterosso!
