Love, love, loved our stay at Ballambra. We were welcomed by Heeda who took us down stairs to the wine bar and offered us a welcome drink and took the time out to give us restaurant and tips on things to do in Cinque Terre which was a lovely touch. Upstairs was our lovely

Fabulous place to stay in the best town in Cinque Terre. Met by Hedda on arrival and after taking our gear upstairs she went through with us lots of information about the area, ferries, walks, beaches etc, all over a refreshing welcome drink. All our questions were answered

We loved Bellambra and the hosts, Hedda and Lorenzo. The location is on a main road in Monterosso, right near everything, but yet very quiet. As you unlock the main door from the street, you feel like you own a second home in this gorgeous area!! The room is beautifully

You pretty much are obliged to walk. I was amazed to see no taxis outside the railway station. This town isn't exactly pedestrianised, but it isn't far off. Come out of the station and turn left. Walk along the road until you come to a tunnel. Go through the tunnel and you have reached the old town. Via Roma is up to the right. I would say it's about 1km from the station. Pack as light as you can.

The walk is a bit long with luggage but we didn't have any problems. The bigger issue was that there were lots of tourists on the train with us that were just there for the day and the sidewalks and roads were packed with people all trying to navigate at once. It was a bit hard to weave through everyone with luggage rolling behind. We did see several taxis pick people up from the train station so that is also an option. We found it easy enough that we still walked back to the train station with our luggage when we left rather than take a taxi. There was some street noise but we found that to be the case everywhere we stayed in Italy so we all just used ear plugs. We casually mentioned that there was a loud pub down the road on our first night and she knew the owner and must have said something because we never heard them again.

We were in the apartment and it had a hair dryer. I'm pretty sure all rooms have one. If you email the owners they will answer any question.
