We booked the hotel for a family stay for one night. Hotel upgraded us to suites on account of children. Fully equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher etc. Great choice for a longer stay. Extremely friendly staff helped with the car parking and restaurant choices. Hotel restaurant was booked in the evening and staff immediately helped out to order in for the kids, while we enjoyed drinks on the terrace. Breakfast the other morning was extra with very generous offer. Hotel also helped with late check out so we had time to fully enjoy the day. All in all a beautiful experience of the city enhanced by great hotel and friendly staff. Strong recommendation.
The hotel is located in the city center surrounded by restaurants, bars and stores. The staff is very professional and friendly. The rooms are not top modern but all works fine and is clean. The lobby is comfortable to relax. The restaurant and cafe is a good choice but for Italian standards not cheap. However, the quality of food and service is excellent. Same with big breakfast buffet and of course the fantastic coffee. Nothing to complain.
Perfect hotel, service and location. Could not have asked for anything better. Can walk to lots of shops and restaurants. Quite street. Great breakfast. Everyone was so helpful. Rooms were very clean. Ask for a restaurant recommendation. They were spot on
Very good hotel. Paid extra for a double room (solo traveler) and while the room was very comfortable it had no view as it's located in the center of the building. Didn't bother me at all. Lovely room kept very clean and neat with a fairly good shower. The shower could of course been bigger but pretty standard for most of Europe. The hotel is perfectly located near shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The train station was about 15 minutes walk away and very easily reached with no effort. The Piazza Unita D'italia is a very quick and nice walk away. The breakfast is very good for European standards with a large selection of everything you could want. Very good hotel, enjoyed my stay.

We took a taxi to the hotel when we arrived at the train station and I don't remember it being more than 8-9 Euros to the Continentale. Another day when we walked around the main part of the city we walked between them and it was easy--not more than 15 minutes and flat along the seafront.
We mainly walked and looked at the architecture of the buildings. The real treat (and right in front of the sea) is the Piazza Unita dItalia
